Student answer (Band 4.0)
Yes nowadays, many medical research projects are funded by private companies instead of Government, medical research is funded by private then it becomes Fast process. For example any kind of research like medicine, During the covid time people not get the paracetamol in Canada and that the only medicine work then India government help and sent millions of medicine to Canada, After so many research Canada got some slat medicine for lilies , project and research needs Funded to find the way or material plus workers so if both can Funded and private and government together so process should be fast,
further more Canada has strong Connection with India prime minister and with USA , is every one contribute for country future so that people can get easily access medicine and treatment, in 2026 Canada has shortage of medical people and they want to invest money in health , one of my family member has many health issue and he was not getting MRI test date due to waiting time is long, how people can survive, if both can be Funded so that be possible to improve the health concerns
in my opinion , I would say both private that government, focus on health and think for people

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address the prompt by suggesting a combination of private and government funding, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack clarity. The examples provided, such as the mention of paracetamol during the pandemic or the MRI waiting times, are fragmented and do not clearly support your position. To improve, you must expand on your reasoning with more coherent explanations and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for a full exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no introduction or conclusion, and the paragraphing is ineffective. The flow of ideas is disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow your argument. You rely on basic transitions like 'further more' and 'in my opinion', but these do not effectively link your points. To improve, focus on organizing your essay into clear paragraphs: an introduction, two body paragraphs with distinct main ideas, and a conclusion. Use a wider variety of cohesive devices to connect your sentences and ideas logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.5
Your vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You often use basic terms like 'research', 'medicine', and 'funded' without demonstrating a range of academic or topic-specific language. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'slat medicine for lilies' and 'shortage of medical people', which are unclear and impede communication. To reach a higher band, you should work on learning synonyms and collocations related to healthcare and economics, and practice using them in context to express your ideas more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The grammar is frequently inaccurate, with many run-on sentences and comma splices. There are consistent errors in subject-verb agreement, article usage, and tense consistency (e.g., 'people not get the paracetamol' instead of 'people did not get paracetamol'). The sentence structures are mostly simple or incorrectly joined, lacking the complexity required for higher bands. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, punctuation, and the correct use of verb tenses. Proofreading your work for basic grammatical errors will also help improve the clarity of your writing.
