In a contemporary time, huge private firms are investing their money in ongoing medical research projects. All the aspects that whether this kind of projects should be funded by private companies, individuals or government would be discussed in ensuing paragraphs.

To begin with, private companies invest their large amount of money on research to get a patent or an ownership for the new findings. To elaborate, private companies has to bring innovations and varieties in order to expand themselves commercially and globally. By funding on going research they can easily be part of new developments. For instance, pharmaceutical companies such as Alembic and Sun Pharma regularly paid high amount of money to research projects. Moreover, few pharma companies want to extract, design and launch their new drugs. In order to do this they conduct research project under their own hands. For example, many pharma companies made their own multi vitamin tablets and protein powders after establishing a research team on that particular desired products.

On the other hand, government knows about the endemics and according to that they encourages research works and fund them. For example, government invest more in chandipura virus's vaccine as it was spreading across the India. Also, under the government's funding any kind of unethical or unhuman research can not take place because government keep an eye on that research.

To recapitulate, private businesses out their money into research projects to gain profits and benefits for their own; however, government invest according to citizens health and nation's needs.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both private and government funding. However, the position is not clearly stated in the introduction; you mention that the topic will be discussed, but you do not explicitly state your opinion on which entity should fund research. The ideas are relevant but remain somewhat superficial. For instance, while you mention that governments monitor ethics, this point is not fully developed with a clear example or explanation of why this is superior to private funding. To reach a higher band, ensure your personal stance is clear from the start and provide more depth in your supporting arguments.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand' to link your points. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'many pharma companies made their own multi vitamin tablets... after establishing a research team on that particular desired products', where the connection to the previous argument is slightly disjointed. Overall, the structure is sufficient, but more sophisticated linking words would improve the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contemporary', 'innovations', 'commercially', and 'endemics'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'funding on going research' (should be 'funding ongoing research'), 'paid high amount of money' (should be 'invest large sums of money'), and 'under their own hands' (which is not a standard idiom). While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the precision of your writing. Expanding your range of academic collocations would help elevate your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'In a contemporary time' (should be 'In contemporary times'), 'private companies has to bring' (subject-verb agreement error), and 'government invest' (should be 'governments invest'). Additionally, there are issues with articles and pluralisation, such as 'across the India' and 'on that particular desired products'. While the meaning remains clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage.
