Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the comperary society, several health studies projects are funded by private sector. In this essay,I will discuss about difference between why health projects should put up by the private companies, individuals or government.

There are various reasons why should government should set up different health projects. Though, one of the mighty reason is that by funding the students and encourage them to perform health related projects. The youth have an ability to made more effective medicines than at present. Also, at private companies the students have less opportunities only few students can perform projects at private sector. For instance, if government funded them to made research it would be a great step forward to our health department. Researcher can invent several vaccines to any disease or make effective medicines.

At the opposite side, if we put eyes onto private companies. They are rapidly increases in our country to funded the students for medical research projects. As the government is neglecting the advancement in medical field so, student look to private companies for research rather than to government. Such as, if a student is in government and they are not working for research projects he would be neccessary for him to look at private sector for the research projects.

Students can also made medical research projects by their own, if they have seen not a single opportunity from both private and government sector. They should made their own medical research projects.

At my opinion, I prefer to be funded by government because the student wanted to be funded by government . Government can fund them on large scale , if they don't neglect it. Then, students can have more opportunities if government do their job well.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that government should look at their medical research projects because if our medical sector is advanced then our people will healthy.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The essay addresses the prompt by discussing the roles of government, private companies, and individuals in funding medical research. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments are repetitive and lack depth; for instance, the suggestion that individuals should fund their own research is not supported by practical examples or logical reasoning. The position is clear, but the supporting points are underdeveloped, and the essay relies on generalisations rather than specific, well-reasoned arguments. To improve, you should focus on providing concrete examples and explaining the 'why' behind your opinions more thoroughly.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often disjointed. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'In conclusion', 'For instance'), they are sometimes used incorrectly or mechanically. The transition between paragraphs is weak, and the logical flow is hindered by repetitive phrasing. For example, the shift to discussing individual funding is abrupt and lacks a clear link to the previous paragraph. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the readability and logical structure of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'comperary society' (contemporary), 'put up by' (funded by), and 'put eyes onto'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. You rely on basic terms and struggle with collocations, such as 'make research' instead of 'conduct research'. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to medical research and finance, and practice using these words in their correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the essay, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('They are rapidly increases'), tense usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain errors that occasionally impede clarity, such as 'if a student is in government and they are not working for research projects he would be neccessary for him to look at private sector'. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, they are often faulty. Focusing on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for common errors would help improve your accuracy.
