Student answer (Band 5.5)
At present, research projects has been demanding because many medical students choose research plans over laboratory work. Some people think that a large numbers of medical research projects has been driving by government while some people beleive that these projects are drived by private organization. I completely disagree with tihs idea and in this essay i will support my opinion with example.
Firstly, governemnt provide a lot of money for educational organization. To illustrate the point, the thesis projects in government universities has leaded due to regime where In the end of the semester students get their seuccessful result in their thesis projects because of accurate and precise instruments. If govt continue this tend the research project rating will maintain in coming decades.
Secondly, the govt has more control in healthcare sectors. In decades of covid-19,the govt authority was paid the large amount of money on healthcare research sectors just to find the better vaccinaton for patients. However, it has ensure that ministery have been paying large funds rather than private departments.
On the other hand, private companies are worked for their profit only. For instance, the employes of private organization are work for their bonus and benefits, If they are funded in research projects , the aim is to increase their business growth or marketing of the brand so a least number of private company takes participate in funds program.
To conclude. it is common belief that majority research sectors are leading by government authority which are made better education system as well as healthcare sectors.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the role of government versus private funding in medical research. However, the position is somewhat contradictory; the introduction states the writer disagrees with the idea that research should be driven by private organizations, yet the essay lacks a clear, sustained argument. The ideas are present but remain under-developed. For instance, the argument regarding government funding is supported by vague references to 'regime' and 'accurate instruments' rather than clear, logical reasoning. The conclusion is also somewhat repetitive and does not fully synthesize the points made. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-explained reason that directly supports your stated position.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'To illustrate the point' is used to introduce a point rather than an example, and 'In decades of covid-19' is an awkward transition. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the use of 'it' in 'However, it has ensure that ministery have been paying'. While there is a logical progression from government to private funding, the flow between sentences is frequently interrupted by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, which hinders the overall coherence of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The range of vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'research projects has been demanding' (likely meaning 'demanding' in a different context) and 'drived by private organization'. The phrase 'a least number of private company takes participate in funds program' is particularly unclear and lacks the precision required for a higher band. To improve, focus on learning collocations related to academic research and funding, and ensure that words are used in their correct grammatical form (e.g., 'participate in' rather than 'takes participate in').
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
Grammatical control is weak throughout the essay. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'projects has been', 'govt continue this tend') and verb tense/form (e.g., 'has leaded', 'are worked for', 'are work for'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and incorrect capitalization of 'govt'. While there is an attempt to use complex sentence structures, these are often faulty and contain errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. A focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve the clarity of the writing.
