Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, many medical research projects are mixed funded through private sectors and government companies. In my perspectives, the funded should be collected in government companies.

On the one hand, many medical research projects are funded through government because the government sectors will provide more benefits as compared to the private sectors they will provide more opportunities for the students and hospitals. If u study the government sector government will be conduct low fees and provide greater opportunities. For example, there are many government hospitals in the cities if you have an emergency and you can go there for the treatment they will quickly check for the patients and the fees will be low. and everyone can easily affordable. Another example is that the operations will be on reasonable charges . Another noticeable point is that in which employees do job in the government sector their salaries will be high as compared to private sector and the burden will be minimize.

On the other hand, the private sectors are much more fees, the poor people cannot afford the fees and cannot take any more treatment. This is the huge drawback of private sectors is their will be no opportunities provide to the students and they get minimum salaries for their staff and in return a lot of work for the employees.

In addition, the individuals cannot pay expensive labs, machines or medical test on their own. The individual should not only scientist there team will also participate and generate more creative ideas.

In my opinion, the funded should be provided in public sectors where there will be more opportunities will be provided to the patients and everyone can easily check the patients.

In conclusion, the funded should be mixed in both private and public sectors the medical research projects funded by government sectors.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing who should fund medical research, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you express a preference for government funding, the arguments are repetitive and focus more on general hospital services and staff salaries rather than the specific topic of medical research projects. The conclusion is also contradictory, as it suggests a 'mixed' approach after you argued for government funding throughout the essay. To improve, ensure that your arguments directly relate to the funding of research and maintain a consistent position from the introduction to the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'Another example' and 'On the one hand/On the other hand'. Some transitions are awkward, and the logical progression between sentences is occasionally broken by grammatical errors. The conclusion does not effectively summarise the main points and introduces a new idea ('mixed' funding) that conflicts with the body paragraphs. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will help the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'provide', 'fees', and 'sectors' without much variation. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'mixed funded' instead of 'jointly funded' and 'the funded should be collected' instead of 'funding should be provided'. Some phrases are unclear, such as 'the burden will be minimize'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise academic vocabulary and collocations related to the topic of research and finance.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('government will be conduct'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or contain run-on structures, such as 'the private sectors are much more fees'. The use of informal language like 'u' is inappropriate for an academic task. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, these are often inaccurate, which hinders clarity. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors would significantly improve your score.
