Student answer (Band 5.0)

this things were very common nowadays that a particular authorization took all type of work form a company they do not check that weather this belongs to the good or worst. even government also do this kind of thigs and they hire a person who is linked with other known company.

in other sector they do this it is appropriate but in medical sector it use from other and this might be possible that it may misuse with other country. in my opinion we can kept this research projects with government because they keep this safe and it can't be use by other. if this work is belong to personal company hen it may be sell with some enemy who is not belong with us.

in resent time this type of case were found by police and they investigate in that and they found that one of the private companies employ sold a project just for money. the person we sell this he has fully control of that work so he know very well what is going in my company. he took advantage of it and sold a project to other company who need this project.

this look very small action but impact of this is so huge and price of this will pay by some innocent people. in that project what type of information it stores that is not know by any local person so information is so useful for that enemy person. if it belong form government then they keep this very safe and don't goes in wrong hand.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing an opinion that medical research should be government-funded to ensure security. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. The arguments regarding the risks of private funding are somewhat vague, and the example provided—a police investigation into a sold project—is anecdotal and lacks the depth required for a high-level academic response. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments are not fully extended or explored in a sophisticated manner, leading to a superficial treatment of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, which helps the overall structure. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is very limited and sometimes inaccurate (e.g., 'this things', 'in other sector'). There is a lack of logical flow between sentences, and the referencing is often unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument's development. The transition between the general argument and the specific example is abrupt and lacks a clear logical link.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, often relying on simple, imprecise language. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'authorization' instead of 'organization', 'weather' instead of 'whether', and 'enemy who is not belong with us'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. The student struggles to use academic terminology, which limits the ability to convey the nuances of the topic. Many phrases are awkward and impede the clarity of the message.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often cause difficulty for the reader. There are significant issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'this things were', 'government also do'), tense usage (e.g., 'it use from other'), and sentence structure. Complex sentence structures are attempted but are almost always faulty, leading to confusion. Punctuation is also inconsistent. The majority of the sentences contain errors, and the lack of control over basic grammar significantly hinders the communication of the intended meaning.
