In this modern era medical research projects are very important for the treatment of patients which funded by private companies. I Believe that government should take the primary steps for the funding medical research with support from private companies and individuals.

The main reason the government should lead the medical research which is beneficial for the public.Government should a major portion of funding to the medical research so that they find the treatment of diseases. For instance during the COVID 19 the government were trying to find the treatment of disease at last they find the treatment with of funding of US and UK they explore vaccination which was accessible to everyone regardless of ability to pay. this shows that governments resources should prioritize the health.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the roles of government, private companies, and individuals in medical research. However, the essay is incomplete, ending abruptly mid-sentence in the conclusion. This significantly impacts the development of the argument and the overall task completion. While the position is clear, the under-length (236 words) and the lack of a finished conclusion mean that the ideas are not fully developed or rounded off. To improve, ensure you manage your time effectively to complete the final paragraph and meet the minimum word count requirement, as this is essential for a higher band score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay uses basic paragraphing, but the flow is hindered by the incomplete ending. Cohesive devices are present (e.g., 'For instance', 'In this era', 'therefore'), but they are sometimes used mechanically or with minor errors in punctuation. The progression of ideas is generally logical, moving from the role of government to private companies and finally to a collaborative approach. However, the lack of a concluding sentence makes the overall structure feel unfinished. Improving the use of linking phrases and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the coherence of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks sophistication. There are several instances of word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'madrona' (Moderna) and 'affective' (effective). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on repetitive phrasing like 'find the treatment' and 'doing research'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise terminology related to medical research and public policy, and pay closer attention to spelling and collocations. Expanding your range of synonyms will help you avoid repetition and demonstrate a more flexible command of the language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include missing articles ('government should a major portion'), subject-verb agreement issues ('every company are doing'), and punctuation errors (e.g., 'COVID 19 the government were'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally impede the flow of reading. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of basic grammatical slips prevents a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
