In this high- tech era, the medical field is having modification at an exponential rate. All of the credit goes to the new researches funded by the various establishments. This essay will shed light on the facts that it is a government's responsibility to fund these projects rather than private companies.
To begin with, the healthcare plays a significant role for a society and the whole country. These projects should be done by the government for the wellness of their citizens. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the roles of government and private companies in medical research. However, the position is somewhat inconsistent; while the introduction states it is the government's responsibility, the conclusion suggests a partnership. The ideas are relevant but lack depth. For instance, the mention of 'oncology' and 'COVID-19' provides a starting point for support, but the arguments are not fully extended or explored in detail. The essay tends to over-generalize, and the reasoning regarding the economic impact of private funding is slightly tangential to the core question of who should be responsible for research. To improve, ensure your position is clearly maintained throughout and provide more detailed, logical explanations for your arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. There is a logical progression from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'The administrative should step forward' or 'Thus, the money investment and earning both plays impeccable role'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and some transitions between sentences feel abrupt. While the paragraphing is sufficient, the internal flow within paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but there are several instances of awkward word choices and non-standard collocations. Phrases like 'treatment objects', 'assistance of regime', and 'boon for the mortals' are either unnatural or imprecise in this context. While the student attempts to use more sophisticated vocabulary, the lack of precision often hinders the clarity of the message. To reach a higher band, focus on learning common collocations in the context of academic writing and avoid using words that sound overly dramatic or archaic, such as 'mortals' or 'impeccable' in inappropriate contexts.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('earning both plays'), article usage ('the healthcare', 'the medical field is having modification'), and awkward phrasing ('the researches under oncology performed with assistance of regime'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with sentence fragments like 'Moreover, to maintain the balance of development in all fields. The administrative should step forward...'. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the high frequency of errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be highly beneficial.
