Student answer (Band 5.5)
These days, most of the research projects related to medical has done by private organizations. In my point of view, i think these kind of research should be done by high authorities. In the upcoming paragraphs i will explain the reasons and all of the examples which are related to this topic with knowledge of experience.
To begin with, in today's time there are several medical research is going through the private companies, which makes more weak to do trust on their result of research, so instead of private organizations there should be all in the hand of nation government. If the high authorities will do these medical analysis there will be more clarification in this. For instance, the Government of Colombia has taken all control of their medical experiments and they have invented a good medicine which can tackle the headache pain in very little time, because they hired the high qualified doctors or experts in the same field, which make this research more succeed. While the private companies has hired only low experience people the reason they want to save some money to give high professionals.
Secondly, the government has authority to do partnership with other nation's qualified organizations which can provide them some data behalf of their nation trust, which data can help to a researchers to do some more focus on analyze the next steps easily and carefully. On the hand, private research institutions have no access to take any kind of data from another country which can help them to be fluent in proper medical research. For example, the WHO have all world data of every research which have done recently, they know what the other organizations has done bad which made the results of research unfortunate and they never repeat that steps in their research.
To conclude with, many medical research projects are funded by private companies in recent time, in my opinion i prefer these medical examine should be done by government and high experience people which can make it more good in the field of medical.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that government-led research is preferable. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and relies on generalizations. For instance, the claim that private companies hire 'low experience people' to save money is an unsubstantiated assertion that lacks nuance. While the example of Colombia is provided, it is not fully developed or clearly linked to the broader argument regarding the efficacy of government research. To reach a higher band, you should provide more balanced, logical arguments and ensure that your examples are specific and clearly support your main points rather than relying on broad, unsupported claims about the motivations of private versus public sectors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'in today's time' and 'on the hand' (instead of 'on the other hand') are used incorrectly, which disrupts the flow of ideas. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between WHO data and the argument about government research is somewhat disjointed. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus will help improve the overall progression of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'makes more weak to do trust' and 'medical examine'. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations, such as 'make this research more succeed' instead of 'ensure the success of this research'. To improve, focus on learning word families and common collocations in the context of academic writing. Expanding your range to include more sophisticated, topic-specific terminology would significantly enhance your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('most of the research projects... has done'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence construction ('there are several medical research is going through'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization of 'i'. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically verb tenses and subject-verb agreement, before attempting more complex structures.
