Student answer (Band 5.0)

IN THIS MODEREN ERA ,MOST OF THE MEDICAL RESEARCH ARE DONE BY PRIVATE COMPANIES .IN MY POINT OF VIEW IT SHOULD BE TAKEN BY GOVERNMENT REATHER THAN NONGOVERMAENT BECAUSE WITH THIS CANGES ALL PEAPLE CAN TAKE THE ADVANTAGES OF THIS RESULTS AND IT CAN BE PROFITABLE FOR THAT STATE NOT ONLY Epademeatic but also ficianal gain .

To begain with medical research funded by goverment can lead the benifits for all people of that area as all people have equal right to use that medication and they can get it at very less price which make afordable for people rather then that those are funded by private companies . for example there are some cancer reachares are funded by private companies due to which its benifites can taken by those who have money and its very costly for common man and they are suffering and some are did not get benifit these kind of reachers and pass away .

althose private companies can do any research without limmitation as they do not have any ristation or mony buget but they are earning more of its after its succes , if goverment invest in medical research it will benifits for that they can sell to other countries by which they not only gain name but also get stronger economicaly.

in conclusion , funding medical research by goverment make its result affordable for all people and give name and fame of that country.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear opinion that medical research should be funded by the government rather than private entities. The writer attempts to support this position with arguments related to public accessibility, affordability, and national economic benefits. However, the task achievement is constrained because the essay falls short of the 250-word minimum, containing only 241 words. Additionally, the development of ideas remains somewhat superficial, and the over-generalisation in sentences such as 'some cancer reachares are funded by private companies due to which its benifites can taken by those who have money' shows limited extension and support. Consequently, the response aligns best with Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, which attempts to show an overall progression of ideas from introduction to conclusion. However, the logical flow is frequently disrupted by mechanical and inadequate use of cohesive devices, such as 'To begain with' and 'althose'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the lack of proper punctuation, including writing in ALL CAPS for the opening sentence, affects readability. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal organisation of ideas within paragraphs lacks clear sequencing. These features place the response firmly at Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with numerous spelling and word-choice errors that strain the reader. Examples of noticeable errors include 'MODEREN' (modern), 'REATHER' (rather), 'CANGES' (changes), 'PEAPLE' (people), 'Epademeatic' (epidemic), 'ficianal' (financial), 'reachares' (research), 'ristation' (restriction), 'monya buget' (money budget), and 'fame'. The lexical range is limited and minimally adequate for expressing simple ideas, but the frequency of spelling mistakes and inaccurate word forms prevent the score from reaching a higher band, resulting in a Band 4.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The writer attempts some complex sentence structures, but they are frequently faulty and accompanied by a high density of grammatical errors. Examples include run-on sentences and poor clause connection, such as 'if goverment invest in medical research it will benifits for that they can sell to other countries by which they not only gain name but also get stronger economicaly.' Punctuation is largely neglected, and the presence of frequent errors across simple and complex structures causes difficulty for the reader. This performance reflects the Band 4.5 descriptors.
