Student answer (Band 4.5)
In modren society,a lot of works which is related to medicine analaysis project are funded by many private institutes. The private copmany can play thier role better in the field of medicine.
in this essay we will discuss about the reserach of medicine. Firstly we'ill discuss about the private companies. In the current era al ot of private companies research about medicines bthat give negtive impact to our societies because the private company has onl on aim to earn money more and more this company are totally work for money. morever they are not working for the welfare of society so there main purpose is how to make money so they starting ti missing the important ingreidents which is very important. And secondly, this companies has only one aim so they increase the cost of medicines.
A person connot research on medicines individual because for the analaysis on medicines it need many requirment such as a lot of budgets other people helps but some people make many any medicines individuals such as flemming make pencillins. But his is very difficults because a single man do not have so much budgets.
If government reserch on medical project then it has many benifits because government has only one purpose how to satisfied there peoples and that why the give disscoun to there peoples then the price of medicine is low.
My opnion is that government should be research on the medical field because the government has full autorities they can research on any medicines. And the also try that the price should be low.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether medical research should be carried out by private companies, individuals, or the government, presenting a clear personal opinion that the government should lead. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. For example, the argument against private companies relies heavily on the assertion that they only want to 'earn money' without sufficient elaboration, and the mention of individual researchers like 'flemming' is underdeveloped. The position is stated, but the support lacks depth and nuance, aligning best with Band 5 descriptors where ideas are limited and under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
Paragraphing is attempted, but the structure is weak and visually disjointed, with sentences running together and poor spacing throughout the essay (e.g., 'In modren society,a lot of works...'). While there are basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'And secondly', the logical progression is frequently disrupted by fragmented thoughts and abrupt shifts between ideas. Referencing is often unclear, such as the pronoun 'this companies' referring back to private entities without smooth transitions. Overall, the organization shows some rudimentary planning, but cohesion is mechanical and inadequate in places, fitting the Band 5 profile.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic and heavily repetitive, with words like 'money', 'company', 'research', and 'medicines' recurring constantly throughout the text. There are numerous spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'modren', 'analaysis', 'copmany', 'thier', 'reserach', 'negtive', 'ingreidents', and 'autorities'. Less common vocabulary is attempted with very low accuracy, and these frequent errors often strain the reader. This performance reflects the Band 4 descriptors, where vocabulary is basic and repetitive, though communication is just maintained.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex clauses. Punctuation and capitalization are frequently neglected, and basic subject-verb agreement is violated repeatedly (e.g., 'this companies has', 'a single man do not have', 'government reserch... then it have'). Run-on sentences and fragments are common, such as 'For the analaysis on medicines it need many requirment such as a lot of budgets other people helps'. Frequent grammatical errors cause significant difficulty for the reader and severely limit the complexity of the writing, consistent with Band 4.
