Student answer (Band 5.0)
Medical development plays a vital role in today's life. It is beneficial for saving people's life's and help them to live a healthy life's. Most of the medical discoveries are leading by personal sectors. From my perspective, it is a terribly wrong thing because it cause alots of issues in the world.
Firstly, Working on a medical development is good but leading these projects by individuals would cause several problems in a society because private sectors are too costly for average salaries peoples to get a good and low risk treatment for themselves. Meanwhile it leading the unequality in a society which makes people feel low and desperate for the better things moreover it also leads to the criminal activities that people do any things to get
In my opinion government should have to show more concerns about this issue and try to provide government medical staff to those facilities so that the can also improve theri process of treating peoples . Furthermore that the people all kinds of people are able to get those beneficial treatment without any worries.
In the end, I want to say that it whould better that the government should play their role to make it possible for every citizen to be able to get the best treatment beyond any condition so that everyone lives a healthy life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to address the prompt regarding who should fund and carry out medical research, expressing a clear position that private companies doing so is a negative development. However, the ideas are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence. Furthermore, the response falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement, containing only 223 words, which constitutes a penalty under Task Achievement. Statements such as private sectors are too costly are overly general and lack depth or specific examples. While the writer touches on societal inequality and government intervention, these points are not fully explored or substantiated. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed, leading to a band score of 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays a basic logical organisation with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is attempted, though the division of ideas feels somewhat arbitrary and the final conclusion is brief and repetitive. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often basic or awkwardly placed, such as starting sentences with Meanwhile it leading or Furthermore that the people. Referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen with pronouns whose antecedents are ambiguous. There is a lack of smooth progression between sentences, causing the overall arrangement to feel somewhat disjointed. This level of cohesion aligns with a band score of 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.5
The vocabulary used throughout the essay is limited and repetitive. The student relies on basic terms such as good, bad, medical development, and treatments. There are noticeable word choice and collocation errors, such as life's instead of lives, personal sectors instead of private sectors, and salaries peoples instead of salaried people or ordinary people. Spelling and morphological mistakes are frequent, including alots, unequality, theri, and whould. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey a basic message, these errors and the narrow lexical range restrict the score to 4.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The text contains a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying primarily on simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex ones. Frequent grammatical errors impede readability and cause difficulty for the reader. Examples include sentence fragments and run-on structures like that people do any things to get and so that the can also improve theri process. Subject-verb agreement and tense errors are prevalent, such as it cause alots of issues and government should have to show. Punctuation is also problematic, with missing periods and commas affecting sentence boundaries. These persistent errors across basic and complex forms place this criterion at a band score of 4.5.
