IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Nowadays, many medical research projects are funded by private companies. In your opinion, do you think that research should be carried by private companies, individuals or government?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In present days,a significant amount of medical research is carried out by the private corporations.Medical research play an important role in improving human health and creating new treatements for diseases.In this essay we will discuss either private institutes,goveronment or individuals should carry out the medical research before presenting my opinion.
Private corporations are the companies that can fund a large amount of money for a medical research.These private insititutes funds and carry out medical researches due to there comercial benifits.If a medical research is no longer profitable,funding and production of that medical research can be stop.These private companies leans towards those medical researches those help them make a profit.
Goveronment is responsible for the welfare of its country,so it can also fund large amount of funds to medical research.Goverment can also funds those medical researches that are no longer comercial benificial for the people of its country.While goveronment can fund a large research it also have to funds other things that are important for its country.Due to a limited budget funding for the medical research can be stop.
Individuals are the persons who love medical research and wanted to do something for the welfare of mankind.They can produce useful ideas in medical research and finding treatements of diseases.While these people can be prove very benificialin medical research,they lacks the the amount of money to fund large medical researches because these researches require a lot of money.
In my opinion,both goveronment,private corporations and individual persons are valueable to medical research.But since goveronment is responsible for welfare of its country.It should lead the charge in medical research.
In conclusion,private corporations and individual persons are valuable in medical research and finding new treatements but government should carried out the medical research.
