Student answer (Band 5.5)
Medical projects plays an important role in healyh of an individual .It must be funded so that projects are well equipped and best results are obtained in favour of society . In my opinion , these type of projects and researches must be funded by government as they are the regulatory bodies who very well knows the health status of the country and can provide adequate amount of monetary support to the researchers and scientists .
Funds are prerequisite to initiate the global cause . Government are the only body who can provide the funds in large amount and without any frauds . The private companies can make money by unethical means while , the government is responsible and accountable to the citizens . For example: in panedemic time, the Corona virus vaccine was invented by government and then suppied to the whole nation. Therefore , Government is the only one who can make such big move and look after the whole country .
Due to increase in needs of goods , government also realised increased demand of health and science . Regulating body knows the prevailing diseases and the circumstances ,so they can fund more realistically than the private sectors. For instance : for eradication of some life-threatening diseases government knows the epicenter point and means of transmission . so they can fund heavely on the research and come up with fruitful solutions and results .
According to my view, due to industrialisation , many projects are funded by private companies for betterment and satisfactory results . Conversely, Government can oly make it more equalise and effective rather than huge companies. Health and science minister must focus on the public needs and channelise the workforce towards that to achieve excellent results in medical field . Some amount of budget must be decided to implement in research projects to alleviate illness and make nation disease -free.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The student addresses all parts of the prompt by presenting a clear position that government funding is preferable for medical research over private companies or individuals. The main arguments revolve around accountability, preventing fraud, and addressing public health needs realistically. However, the development of ideas tends to be repetitive and somewhat unsupported. For instance, the claim that 'the Corona virus vaccine was invented by government' is historically inaccurate and presented without sufficient depth. While the position is clear throughout, the support for the arguments relies on sweeping generalizations rather than well-extended examples, placing this response comfortably within Band 6.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is utilized, though some paragraphs mix multiple ideas, such as the final paragraph which touches upon industrialization, government equality, and ministerial focus. Cohesive devices are used, but they are sometimes mechanical or awkwardly placed, as seen with 'Conversely, Government can oly make it more equalise and effective'. Furthermore, referencing and logical progression are occasionally hindered by abrupt shifts between sentences, such as moving from pandemic discussion directly to increased demands for goods.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'regulatory bodies', 'prerequisite', 'accountable', and 'alleviate illness'. However, there are frequent word choice, collocation, and spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'healyh' instead of health, 'panedemic' instead of pandemic, 'suppied' instead of supplied, 'heavely' instead of heavily, and 'oly' instead of only. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they highlight limitations in lexical precision and accuracy, aligning with Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional-style reasoning. However, control over grammar and punctuation is inconsistent. There are numerous basic grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('Medical projects plays', 'Government are the only body'), missing articles, and awkward punctuation spacing (e.g., spaces before commas). Complex structures often contain errors that cause noticeable strain for the reader, such as 'Government are the only body who can provide the funds in large amount and without any frauds'.
