IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Nowadays, many medical research projects are funded by private companies. In your opinion, do you think that research should be carried by private companies, individuals or government?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

AT PRESENT, MOST OF THE RESEARCH REGARDING MEDICAL SECTOR ARE SPONSERED BY THE PRIVATE ORGANIZATION. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THIS INITIATIVE IS VERY GOOD AND PRIVATE SECTOR AND PEOPLES SHOULD INVOLVE THEMSELVES MORE INTO THIS BECAUSE THIS WILL BE A KIND OF GREAT HELP FOR THE GOVERNMENT AND ALSO IT WILL HELP TO DO THE RESEARCH MORE SMOOTHLY AS ALONG WITH THE FUNDINGS MANY MORE NEW IDEAS MIGHT COME FROM THE PEOPLE.

FIRSTLY, FUNDINGS RAISED BY THE PRIVATE SECTOR WILL HELP THE GOVERNMENT BY RELEASING A LOT PRESSURES FROM THEM. THIS WILL ALSO LET THE GOVERNMENT TO FOCUS ON MANY OTHER THINGS TO ESTABLISH GOOD GOVERNANCE. FOR INSTANCE, IF A PROJECT IS SUPPORTED BY ANY PRIVATE COMPANY FINANCIALLY THEN INSTEAD OF FUNDING THE PROJECT THE GOVERNMENT CAN USE THOSE MONEY IN DIFFERENT OTHER DEVELOPMENT WORKS. THEREFORE, THIS WILL HELP TO CREATE A UNITY IN PRIVATE AND GOVERNMENT FIELDS.

SECONDLY, IF ANY INDIVIDUALS ARE FUNDING SUCH SURVEY THEN THEY MIGHT ASLO BRING SOME GREAT IDEAS ALONG WITH THE SPONSERSHIP. THIS WILL HELP THE RESEARCHERS TO RUN THE PROJECT MORE SMOOTHLY AS MORE PEOPLE WILL BE INVOLVED. FOR EXAMPLE, SUPPOSE RESEARCH PROFESSIONAL GET STUCK AT ANY POINT THEN THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE FUNDED WILL ALSO TRY TO FIND THE SOLUTION OR THEY WILL TRY TO DISCUSS IT WITH OTHER SPECIALLIST. HENCE, IT WILL ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF THE PROJECT BY PROVIDING MORE FACILITIES.

IN CONCLUSION, I THINK PRIVATE SECTORS AND CAPABLE INDIVIDUALS SHOULD INVEST THEMSELVES MORE INTO SUCH PROJECTS BECAUSE IT CAUSES CONVIENIENCE FOR THE GOVERNMENT AND ALSO HELPS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF RESEARCHS.
