Student answer (Band 5.0)
In today's rapidly changing world different project related to medical studies are run with the financial aid provided by the private companies.Nowadays it has become a debatable issue wheather it should be funded by these companies or it should be totaly controlled by the government. In my opinion it should be public funded or by the government.
As there is a trend in present time can be clearly seen that lot of studies taking place are funded by private businesses. This is because people who run businesses want change the order of of living of common man. They know that how effective this strategy is to change the way people rthink about their health. They advertise their products on the basis of those reserches which are depended on their finances; and take maximum bnefit by selling those unnessary products. In my view it is not in the favour of public at all.
on the other hand, there is another factor to consider that there is one more body which supposed to be in a role to run these medical researches. This is directly related to the fortune and wellness of public.because it affects their helth straight away and this the base of happy life. The main reason behind this argument is that it is the matter of fareness and real purpose behind these researches.
Considering all these aspects brings us to rethink about the way the processes of these reserches being done.In my opinion these thigs should be run with the aim of keeping public helth as a central idea;not with any money making scheme.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt partially, discussing whether medical research should be funded by private companies or the government. Your position is stated in the introduction when you mention that 'in my opinion it should be public funded or by the government,' and this stance is reiterated in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For instance, when you argue that private businesses want to 'change the order of living of common man' and sell 'unnessary products,' the ideas lack specific examples or extended reasoning. To reach a higher level, you need to fully develop your arguments with clear explanations and concrete examples to support your viewpoint throughout the entire essay.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
Your essay shows some basic organization with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but there is a lack of clear overall progression. The movement between ideas feels somewhat disconnected, and cohesive devices are used inadequately or repetitively. For example, transitioning phrases like 'As there is a trend in present time can be clearly seen' and 'on the other hand' are awkwardly structured, making the logical relationship between paragraphs weak. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within your paragraphs needs to be strengthened. To improve, you should ensure that each sentence flows logically into the next and use a wider variety of cohesive devices more accurately to guide the reader through your arguments.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used in the text is limited and minimally adequate for the task. You attempt some less common vocabulary, such as 'financial aid' and 'wellness,' but there are noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word forms that cause some difficulty for the reader. For example, words like 'wheather' (whether), 'totaly' (totally), 'reserches' (researches), 'depended' (dependent), 'bnefit' (benefit), 'unnessary' (unnecessary), 'helth' (health), 'fareness' (fairness), and 'thigs' (things) detract from the quality of your writing. To achieve a higher band score, you need to expand your lexical range and eliminate spelling and word-choice errors by carefully proofreading your work.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The text displays a limited range of sentence structures, and your attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors involving articles, verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader. For instance, phrases such as 'different project related to medical studies are run' contain a plural noun error, and 'people rthink' contains a spacing and typographical error. Additionally, sentences like 'This is directly related to the fortune and wellness of public.because it affects their helth straight away and this the base of happy life' demonstrate run-on structures and missing punctuation. To improve, you should focus on increasing your grammatical accuracy, ensuring correct subject-verb agreement, and mastering complex sentence patterns.
