In recent years, many research projects of medical fields are sponsered by private companies rather than government. In my opinion, by following government's rules and regulations, private companies should fund to medical research because it helps in the development of that field.
As we know, medical research projects are very benefical for people's lives as it's produced medicines assist people to cure from different harmful diseases. So, this project fields need a help from companies and government to increase their production. In that case, private companies play a vital role by providing fund. For instance, to produce a highly effective medicine for curing the diseases like cancer and HIV, they need someone who fund them to produce medicine. As a result, private companies are very beneficial for the development of medical research.
Not only about money, private comppanies also have many advanced technology and advanced AI tools which can be effective. AI assistants and AI tools can give important information about the medical subject and assist them to produce medicine for different diseases. On the other hand, government can also fund them but they have many more responsibility to do, sometimes they do not have enough money and technologies to fund. Instead of funding them government can help by providing experienced employee and many more highly rated doctors and technicians.
In conclusion, medical research projects need a high amount of money and technologies for the development. So, I think in that case private companies should fund them by providing advacned technologies but governmment can also provide help by supporting and encouraging them to develop.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing who should fund medical research and taking a clear position that private companies should play a primary role with government support. The main ideas are generally relevant, such as mentioning the benefits of private funding for high-cost diseases like cancer and HIV, as well as the technological contributions of private firms. However, some ideas remain under-developed or somewhat repetitive. For example, the argument that the government has more responsibilities and lacks technologies is stated quite simply without deep extension. To reach a higher level, the writer would need to fully develop all arguments with more detailed explanations, concrete examples, and a more thoroughly explored perspective throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs addressing different aspects of the topic, and a logical conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas, such as funding benefits in the second paragraph and technological contributions alongside government roles in the third paragraph. Cohesive devices like 'As we know', 'For instance', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' help to guide the reader through the text, although referencing and linking can occasionally feel slightly mechanical. To achieve a higher band, the essay would benefit from more seamless transitions between sentences and paragraphs, ensuring that the logical progression of ideas is smoother and entirely natural without relying on repetitive transitional formulas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their ideas about medical research, private funding, and technological advancements. The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'sponsered', 'beneficial', and 'technologies', but these attempts are occasionally marred by spelling errors like 'sponsered' instead of 'sponsored' and 'comppanies' instead of 'companies', as well as minor word-choice inaccuracies like 'produce medicines assist people' rather than 'medicines produced assist people'. These lexical errors and awkward collocations do not heavily impede communication, but they reflect a limited precision. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to expand their range of vocabulary, demonstrate better control over word formation and spelling, and use less common lexical items with greater accuracy and stylistic awareness.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writing displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt to construct varied sentences such as 'As we know, medical research projects are very benefical for people's lives as it's produced medicines assist people to cure from different harmful diseases.' There are some errors in grammar, punctuation, and articles throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'it's produced medicines assist' and awkward prepositions or patterns like 'fund to medical research' instead of 'fund medical research'. However, these errors are relatively sparse and rarely impede overall communication. To move to a higher band, the writer must produce a greater proportion of error-free sentences, improve control over complex clause structures, and ensure greater accuracy in grammatical patterns and verb forms.
