Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear preference for private companies in the conclusion and offer relevant reasons, including their access to equipment, their ability to conduct research, and the potential benefits of preventing and controlling disease. However, the position is not consistently developed: the opening mainly describes the situation, and the comparison with government research is brief and somewhat unclear. The point that governments focus on security and defence does not fully explain why private companies are the better choice for medical research. Develop two or three reasons with specific examples, and address whether individuals could also conduct or fund research. The response meets the required length; eight words copied from the task prompt were excluded from the count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. Some progression is also present: you discuss private companies first, then government research and disease prevention, before stating your preference. However, ideas within paragraphs are often crowded together, and links such as “however,” “moreover” and “so” do not always show the relationship clearly. The shift from government research to population, pollution and disease is abrupt, while the conclusion repeats earlier points rather than drawing them together. Use clearer topic sentences, separate distinct arguments, and make each linking phrase express a precise connection.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “medical research,” “vaccine,” “diseases,” “prevention” and “global market,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning difficult to follow, such as “finding export in their field,” “maintain their status” and “research are running smooth.” Spelling errors, including “empoly,” “comapnies,” “sceurity” and “diesase,” are also noticeable. Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing research funding and outcomes, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would make your arguments clearer without requiring unnecessarily advanced vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a contrast between private and government research and a cause-and-effect explanation of disease prevention. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement and articles frequently make the reader work to understand the ideas. For example, “private companies are running through private fund” and “when research conducted by goverment then it take longer period” lack accurate grammatical patterns. The conclusion also has an incomplete construction: “research should carried by private company.” Practise forming complete clauses with a clear subject and correctly inflected verb, then check agreement and articles. Shorter, accurate sentences would help before adding more complex structures.
