Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, manyprivate companies are funding medical researches.in my opinion i think that it is the responsibility of goverment not of private companies.

As,if the private company is funding a medical research the antidot for example they made will be their not the property of the goverment. They are just running a business they are spending on researches not to help the society or to same manking, they are just mading the medicine to sell and generate profit such as there was no research of cancer funded by goverment and now private labels do their research and made it cure and they are selling their antidits and treatments on very high prices.

If our goverment will start funding medical researches this will a great opertuniety for us to be humans becuase now we are just cowards running behind money. if goverment will fund researches the medical treatments will become very cheap and will be easy to afford for a poor person that dies becuase he have no proper cheakup, and if he had a cheakup the medicine are soo expensive that he can not afford them and at the end chooses to die becuase nothing is in his hand. This will be a great step for our goverment to grow our economy.

In conclusion,by my opinion medical researches are not a business to be promoted by private companies or indivisual it is the responsibility of goverment to make resesrches and serve the manking. if medicines will be cheap people with low income will also live good becuase most of their income not goes in medical treatments.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you believe governments, rather than private companies or individuals, should fund medical research. You give relevant reasons, especially that profit-driven companies may charge high prices and that public funding could make treatment more affordable for people on low incomes. These points address the question, and the conclusion restates your view. However, some claims need clearer explanation and support. For example, the statement that private research “made it cure” cancer is unclear and too broad, while the point about government funding helping the economy is introduced without showing how. Develop one or two examples accurately and explain their consequences to make the argument more convincing and fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction states your opinion, the body paragraphs give reasons, and the conclusion returns to your position. The ideas about company profits and treatment affordability are generally grouped in a logical way. However, some sentences contain several points at once, making the progression difficult to follow; the long sentence beginning “They are just running a business” moves from motives to cancer research and prices without clear links. Connectors such as “if,” “because,” and “and” are sometimes repeated mechanically, and references such as “they” and “this” are not always clear. Use shorter, focused sentences and make the relationship between each reason and its example explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You communicate the central topic using relevant words such as “medical research,” “treatments,” “profit,” and “low income.” However, the vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to interpret. Examples include “antidit” for “antidote,” “mading” for “making,” and “same manking,” which appears to mean “save mankind.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “private labels do their research” and “grow our economy.” Aim to learn accurate topic-specific terms and common collocations, then check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help you express your ideas without relying repeatedly on “cheap,” “medicine,” and “researches.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional clauses such as “if the private company is funding…” and “if government will start funding…”. This shows an effort to explain causes and consequences. However, control is uneven: some sentences have faulty clause structure or verb forms, and punctuation and capitalisation errors make the text harder to read. For instance, “if government will fund researches the medical treatments will become…” needs a more accurate conditional pattern, while “the medicine are” has a subject–verb agreement problem. Several sentences run together without full stops. Practise forming clear conditional sentences and checking agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries before submitting.
