Student answer (Band 5.5)
Researches has become an increasingly pervasive phenomena in the contemporary epoch, and a growing number of researchers have embarked upon it, by stating their own opinions about who ought to conduct researches in the medical fields. From my perspective, to a very large extent I support that private companies should research individually on medical projects.
At the outset, As the world is evolving it can be seen that research trend is massively increasing in numerous fields, which highlight its significance. SImilarly, we have witness a dramatic rise of researches in the medical field. Although, Researches carried out by the private comapanies would be more effective, which can attributed to accurate and reliable data and confers a plethora of substancial benefits. For instance, recently gsk (a drug manufacture) who deals in production and supplies of antiobitics, initiated by stepping in the world of researches. It is a prudent approach for them, as it engenders lucrative oppurtunity to examine the other reserach area in medical category which ultimately facilitate their company to grow, and provide fact based data to the world.
This trend of carrying out reseraches through private companies will eventually help government and their other related departments. Although there are several governments setup for researches. However, it may lack actual data which other medicines manufacturer holds. This trend augments with ease for the government as they can invest the research funding into other areas of growth required in a state. For instance, Building infrastrucure, providing basic neccessity to underprivilidge individuals of society, investing in the young generations enterpreprenial projects. Doing so, will lead to make the country economically better.
To conclude, I state that researches through the private companies are relevant, fact based data, which government struggle to acheive. Finally it id helping governments

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is identifiable: you support private companies conducting medical research, and you give reasons related to their access to data and the government’s ability to redirect funds. The GSK example also helps make the discussion relevant. However, the response only partly develops the task. The prompt asks you to consider whether research should be conducted by private companies, individuals, or government, but individuals are not discussed, and the comparison with government research is asserted rather than explained in detail. The claim that private firms have more accurate data needs a clearer explanation or evidence. Your conclusion is also incomplete, ending with “Finally it id helping governments,” so it does not fully summarise your position. Develop the comparison and support each main reason more specifically.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs broadly move from the benefits of private research to possible benefits for government, which gives the reader a general line of progression. However, connections between ideas are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, “Although” introduces statements that do not form a clear contrast, and “This trend” is used without a precise reference. Several ideas in the second body paragraph—government funding, infrastructure and support for young entrepreneurs—are placed together without explaining their relationship to medical research. The final sentence is unfinished, disrupting the conclusion. Use clearer topic sentences, make each paragraph develop one central point, and link examples explicitly to that point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of formal and topic-related vocabulary, including “medical projects,” “reliable data,” “lucrative opportunity” and “economically better.” This shows an effort to express ideas beyond basic language. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are frequent enough to make some phrases difficult to interpret. Examples include “researches” where “research” is generally uncountable, “research trend,” “fact based data,” and “other research area.” There are also misspellings such as “comapanies,” “substancial” and “enterpreprenial.” Phrases such as “research individually” do not clearly express your intended meaning. Prioritise accurate, natural combinations over ornate wording, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses beginning with “Although” and “as,” and a sentence explaining the possible benefits of private research. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries can make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “which highlight its significance” does not agree with its subject, while “which can attributed” is missing a verb form. “Although, Researches carried out…” is not a complete, correctly connected sentence, and “Doing so, will lead to make…” has an incorrect construction and punctuation. The conclusion also contains an incomplete sentence. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them; check subject–verb agreement and ensure every sentence has a complete main clause.
