Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, medical field has been treated as a source of income for companies and individuals. They are intrested on investing resoruces, and goods on medical projects. People believe that private companies should not be involved in this area. Instead of them government should be one taking action and investing money on those plans. In this essay we are going to disscus both aspects of opinion.

On the one hand, private companies provide well services to paitence. People wants better facilities so they can recover quickly. Private projects are always on the risk of closery, subsequently they provide good management. For instance, in nepal there are many private and public hospitals. People are found highly prefering private hospital for better services. Government hospiatls are forgiven if some mistakes are done by them, but same thing does not apply for private hospitals or projects. In addition, to run the project, they should provide proper services.

On other hand, government should invest money on medical project. Investing money on medical project improves citizens health that brings strong flow of a economy. If a medical project receive desired budget from the government, then they can do some research and find out the solution for serious problems. In canda, government are willing to spenf heavy funds on medical project on improving people immune system, which helps people strong and durable on climate change. Currently, canda is one of the most healthy country in the world becuase of strong money flow on medical research.

In my view, that medical research should be carried by government becuase individuals pay taxes and resources to the government. Therefore, they are choosen to invest people money on those projects to improve their health and secure precious lives.

In conculsion, both the source of investment is required on medical field, but government should be more focused on it and primary funding should come from them for a better future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address the central question by discussing private-sector involvement and government funding, then state a clear preference for government as the primary funder. The examples of hospitals in Nepal and research funding in Canada help make the discussion relevant. However, the task asks whether research should be carried out by private companies, individuals, or government; the role of individuals is not meaningfully considered, and the distinction between who funds research and who conducts it remains unclear. Some support is also under-developed: the claim that private hospitals face greater consequences for mistakes is not clearly connected to medical research, while the Canada example needs more specific explanation. Clarifying the options and extending the evidence would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for private companies and government, a stated opinion, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On other hand,” and “In conclusion” makes the main stages easy to follow. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “In addition, to run the project, they should provide proper services” repeats the preceding point without explaining how it advances the argument. The shift from hospital services to research funding also weakens progression, and “both aspects” does not clearly identify the options being compared. Use more precise references and link each example directly to the paragraph’s main claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “medical research,” “investing money,” “facilities,” “budget,” and “citizens’ health,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems reduce precision. Examples include “intrested on investing resoruces,” “provide well services,” “on the risk of closery,” and “strong flow of a economy.” Repeated use of “project,” “money,” and “people” also makes the expression less flexible. Aim for accurate topic-specific phrases such as “fund clinical research,” “allocate public funding,” and “improve health outcomes,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help distinguish research from hospital services.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If a medical project receive desired budget … then they can do some research” and a reason clause beginning “because.” These attempts show some range, but errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction recur. For example, “People wants” should be “People want,” “a medical project receive” needs “receives,” and “one of the most healthy country” requires a plural noun and a more suitable superlative form. In “government should be one taking action,” the article and structure are awkward. Review subject–verb agreement and article use, then check each sentence for a clear subject and verb. Greater control would make the argument easier to read.
