Student answer (Band 5.5)

In to day's timemost of medical research projects are funded by the private companies it is true in my opinion it does not matters weather research is conducted by the either private companies or goverment until they takes all necessary precautions and doing it with honestly.

Firstly, Medical research projects are funded by the private companies mostyly because of the amount of investment and medical equipments are very much expensive. these things are very hard to afford so it is very difficult for the individuals fund it and it is also risky. goverment also funds medical research projects and provides grants b ut still for modern world and technology advancement resources are not enough compared to needs of the projects and researches specially in medical field. it requires good skilled professionals ,scientists, facilities and labs.

However, there are other essential variables which are responcible for that like to be up to date in the field of medical goverment alone is not enough. medical sector plays crucial role in the country's economy and gross domestic product so that's why it is very important. that are the major reasons companies likesto invest in medical sectors and they often funds medical projects. sometimes they also collobrates with the giverment for the research in my opinion medical sector is very important sector for the country and the world so it does not matters who funds for the research weather it is individuals , goverment or private company. only thing which matters is achivement in the research because it has potential to change life of people who are suffering from medical issues.

In conclusion i think research can be conducted and funded by anyone like individuals , private companies or goverment it does not matters till target is inovation not just individual profit and goverment should focus on expanding in the medical sector so it can be able to provide more grants and other things easily to the citizens.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall view: funding may come from companies, individuals, or government, provided the aim is genuine medical progress rather than private profit. You also offer relevant reasons, including the high cost of equipment and the need for skilled professionals and facilities. However, the response only partly develops the choice posed by the question. It explains why companies invest and why individuals may struggle, but does not clearly compare the advantages or risks of each funder, or explain what safeguards are needed. The point about medical research and the economy is asserted rather than supported with a specific example. Develop your preferred approach and illustrate it with a concrete case to make the argument more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an opening position, two body paragraphs introduced by “Firstly” and “However,” and a concluding paragraph. The ideas are generally relevant and can be followed, particularly the progression from research costs to the role of companies. However, the overall progression is not always clear: the second body paragraph shifts from government capacity to the economy and then to the writer’s position without fully connecting these points. Some linking is mechanical or repetitive, especially repeated references to “medical research projects” and “in my opinion.” Several sentences run together, making relationships between ideas harder to see. Use clearer topic sentences, divide long sentences, and use pronouns or concise references where appropriate.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “investment,” “medical equipment,” “skilled professionals,” “facilities,” “grants,” and “innovation.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main points, but the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive. For example, “funds for the research” is less natural than “funds research,” while “target is innovation” would be clearer as “the aim is innovation.” Spelling errors such as “responcible,” “collobrates,” and “inovation” are noticeable, and repeated use of “important” and “medical sector” reduces precision. Build a bank of accurate research-related collocations and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “so,” but control is inconsistent. Errors occur frequently in agreement and verb forms: “it does not matters,” “they takes,” and “companies … often funds” should use correctly matched forms. Articles and sentence boundaries are also problematic, as in “In to day's timemost…” and “that are the major reasons,” while several sentences join multiple ideas without appropriate punctuation. These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the meaning. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and build complex sentences one clause at a time; then check each sentence for a clear subject, verb, and punctuation.
