Student answer (Band 5.0)

In today's world, lots of medical research projects are funded by private organizations .From my personal perspective,I believe that this kinds of research should be carried by private firm, people or government because the issues seen in this research can be solve easily with the support of them.

To begin with,In this generation individuals have to face several kinds of difficulty at that moments they need some one to help to solve this issues.Similarly it goes to medical research they have to face various kinds of problems related to this fields where fund plays an vital role so that it is better to carried this research by organizations, individuals or government. From the support of this, medical research can be done faster and smoothly and individuals can get opportunities to take proper services at anytime.Along with good medicine, there can be less chance to get proper check up for individuals and they didnot have to suffer a lots from several types of diseases . Individuals can get proper diagnosis from the doctors with out any problems.Because of these reasons, they have to be funded by those organizations or government. Moreover ,poor individuals can get opportunities to cure their diseases with low cost .

On the other hand, for example my nation Nepali individuals are unable to get proper treatment due to the lack of medicines, tools and many more public are losing their life. This seems to be the main problems so that to solve this issues medical research should be funded by government or organizations as soon as possible. It is beneficial for individuals who are suffering from this kinds of difficulty.

In conclusion, governments have to solve this issues from the help of others organizations for the betterment of their public and keep safe from the diseases .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a general view that medical research should receive support from private organisations, individuals, and government, and you mention a relevant concern: people in Nepal may lack medicines and treatment. However, the question asks you to decide who should carry out or fund research, and your position remains unclear because you endorse all three without comparing their roles or explaining which is preferable. Much of the first body paragraph discusses access to treatment and diagnosis rather than how funding research would address these problems. The Nepal example is relevant but is asserted rather than explained. To strengthen the response, state a clear preference and develop two reasons showing how that funder could support research and benefit patients.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To begin with” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. The ideas are broadly connected to medical research and healthcare access. However, progression is difficult to follow because the first body paragraph moves among research funding, faster research, medical services, check-ups, diagnosis, and low-cost treatment without clearly showing the links. “On the other hand” introduces an example that supports the same general position rather than presenting a contrasting point. Several references, such as “this issues” and “these reasons,” are unclear. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, explain it in sequence, and use linking phrases only when they accurately show the relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general subject, including “medical research,” “fund,” “diagnosis,” “medicines,” and “diseases.” Some phrases also attempt to express cause and benefit, such as “due to the lack of medicines” and “for the betterment of their public.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes meaning less clear. Examples include “carried by private firm,” “a lots from several types of diseases,” and “proper services at anytime.” Aim for more precise language about research funding and its outcomes, and check common collocations and word forms. For instance, distinguish funding research from providing treatment, rather than using these ideas interchangeably.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a subordinate clause in “because the issues seen in this research…” and a contrastive opening with “On the other hand.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader work to understand the intended meaning. Examples include “this kinds of research,” “the issues … can be solve,” “it is better to carried,” and “they didnot have to suffer.” There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “fund plays an vital role” and the run-on construction beginning “Similarly it goes to medical research.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and divide long sentences into shorter, complete units with correct punctuation.
