Student answer (Band 5.5)

In these days, most medically related developments are funded under private organizations. In my point of view research should be taken by government because it will save lot of money and reach the the people at ground level.

Most of people think that medical field should be run under the private companies because in their opinion private organizations have advantages of earn money so they provide many facilities including advance surgery machines and certified medicine. For example, in subcontinent, most of countries has not as good medical field as it should be so, private influencers are doing well in this region and earn good thus, private companies keep well take care of thess kind of projects.

Other had different point of view as they believe that individuals should be able to do well in this field because their first priority is their reputation. Individuals would increase their respect by invest in this platform. For instances, Imran khan is one the most famous personality in the world and he earn this respect by developing a cancer hospital in Karachi, Pakistan.

In my perspective, government should take charge in this field because no one would do well as government should be. It's strong evidence is that every other group has an advantage but government is the only group who would sincere with its public. For example, businessman's give their treatment who could afford it but if these kind of facilities provided by government than it will be going to every corner of country and every kind of people not for special's one. It's other advantage is that it would save money of public and everybody can offord the best treatment of their disease.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that medical research projects should be taken under the government because they are sincere with their audience.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you argue that government should lead medical research, and you give reasons related to public access and affordability. You also acknowledge the alternatives of private companies and individuals, using examples such as private healthcare in the subcontinent and Imran Khan’s cancer hospital. However, the task asks which group should carry out research, while several points focus more broadly on providing treatment and medical facilities. The claim that government is the only group that would be “sincere with its public” is asserted rather than explained, and the examples are not closely tied to research funding or outcomes. Develop the comparison with specific reasons and evidence about how each funding model affects research and patients.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs discussing private companies and individuals, a paragraph supporting government, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow your overall position. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and linking phrases such as “Other had different point of view” and “It's strong evidence is that” are awkward or inaccurate, making relationships between ideas harder to follow. The conclusion repeats the main claim but does not bring the supporting points together. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main reason. More precise referencing would also help, especially where “these kind of facilities” and “they” could refer to more than one group.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “medical research projects,” “certified medicine,” “cancer hospital,” and “treatment,” so the subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making the intended meaning less clear. Examples include “research should be taken by government,” “advantages of earn money,” and “keep well take care.” Spelling and word forms also need attention, as in “thess,” “offord,” and “businessman's.” Aim to learn common academic collocations for funding and research, and check spelling and word forms during revision. More precise vocabulary would help distinguish research from the delivery of healthcare.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a conditional structure with “if.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms. For example, “most of countries has” has a number-agreement problem, while “Individuals would increase their respect by invest” uses an incorrect verb form after “by.” The sentence beginning “For example, in subcontinent” also lacks an article, and “if these kind of facilities provided” is missing a suitable verb construction. These errors sometimes make sentences difficult to process. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them using conditionals and relative clauses.
