Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent year, a large amount of medical reserch are now funded by private companies due to privatization of medical sector. in my opinion, with the help of private companies medical research projects can be done larger level, but this research projects should be regulated by government.

On the one hand, the paramount reason of govenments cannot fund the all medical projects because government need to alloate their budget visely, due to goverment have other duties to such as improving a infrastruture, secure the border and pay to goverment employees. To put into the word, goverment do not have large amount of money to fund the all medical projects, because government has not own business for make money for medical research as a result, if goverment fund the medical sectors fully, thats why they need to increase their taxes or reduse thier budgets from other sectors such as banking, IT and railways.

On the other hand, the main reason of many medicals projects fund by private companies is to do a reserch of large basis and medical reserches need a maximum amount of money for projects. To ellaborate, medicals projects machines are very expensive and also need a professionals to operate such types of technology. Moreover, with the help of private companies they can invent new medication, also examine they diseases who has not any medication.

To conclude, no-doubt privatization in medical sectors help to fund the projects and make new mediacation , examine diseases but i think this this research projects should be regulated by government.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall view: private companies can support larger-scale medical research, while government should regulate it. The body paragraphs also offer relevant reasons, including the cost of equipment and the competing demands on public budgets. However, the task asks you to consider whether research should be carried out by private companies, individuals, or government, and individuals are not discussed. Your position is also only briefly explained: the need for government regulation is repeated in the introduction and conclusion, but you do not specify what regulation should achieve or give an example. Develop the comparison between the possible funders and explain how your preferred arrangement would work to address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the broad organisation. Within paragraphs, however, progression is sometimes difficult to track because several points are joined into long sentences, and some references are unclear—for example, “they can invent new medication” does not clearly identify who “they” refers to. The first body paragraph also moves from government responsibilities to taxes and other sectors without clearly separating the steps in the argument. Use shorter, more controlled sentences and make links between each reason and your position explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “medical research projects,” “private companies,” “regulated,” “professionals,” and “technology.” This gives you a basic range for discussing the subject, but errors in spelling, word form and collocation are frequent and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “medical reserch,” “a large amount … are,” “research of large basis,” and “examine they diseases.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “paramount reason of governments cannot fund,” which obscures the intended meaning. Build accuracy with common academic collocations such as “conduct research,” “allocate public funds,” and “invest in medical research,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “if,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty, with frequent problems in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries. For example, “a large amount … are now funded” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “government need to alloate” lacks correct agreement and article use. The sentence beginning “because government has not own business” is difficult to follow because its clauses are not controlled, and the conclusion repeats “this this.” Practise building accurate sentences around one main idea, then add subordinate clauses only when their grammatical relationship is clear.
