Student answer (Band 5.5)
According to the current scenario lot's of new medical conditions are been discovered. Due to which, the research projects in the field of medical are been done by the government. In addition, lots of other individuals as well as private companies are also doing research on their own. According to this scenario lots of discussion is going on weather the research should be done by the government or by private companies as nowaday most of the funds are provided by the private companies. However, in this essay I will discuss some points and provide my personal opinion followed by the examples.
To begin with, verity of medical conditions are been discovered nowadays due to which advancement in terms of research has been increased in which maximum funds are been provided by the private companies or by some individuals which add’s multiple plus point to the field of medical research projects. Firstly, the funds some private companies don't fase problems as the are able to provide enoughh amount of funds to the projects. For instance, In India reliance is the largest private company which provides funds to the startups doing research projects. Secondly, advance equipments and also no restrictions as long as any government property is involved. For instance, in India zydus is one of the most popular pharma company the got basic clearence and private workspace so government cannot get involved in it so it ecoms smooth process.
However, government also supports to the projects related to the medical research but there is lot's of stress in dealing with the government. Firstly, it is time taking process in order to get funds from government as lot’s of questions are need to be answered. For example, one insident happednd in my home town small startup where rasing funds they went to government for the help but the clreaence process of government delayed their project. Secondaly, the funds they only have limited budget so the startups still face problems in their project.
In my opinion, funds provided or the research carried by private companies are more on the benificial side rather then research done by the government.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address the central question and give a clear preference for private-company funding, supported by reasons such as access to funds and fewer delays than with government support. The examples of Reliance, Zydus and a local startup help make the discussion relevant. However, the comparison is uneven: the advantages of private funding are explained more fully, while the government paragraph mainly lists delays and limited budgets without considering possible benefits such as public accountability or research into less profitable diseases. Some claims, including that government cannot get involved in a private workspace, are unclear or insufficiently explained. Develop the reasoning behind each example and acknowledge a relevant limitation or counterargument to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting private funding, a contrasting paragraph on government funding, and a concluding opinion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Firstly,” and “However” help readers follow the main stages. At times, though, the linking is mechanical, and the repeated “Firstly”/“Secondly” pattern makes the argument feel like a list. Some connections and references are unclear—for example, “which add’s multiple plus point” does not clearly identify what is adding the benefits, and the Zydus example is difficult to follow. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports; vary transitions so the progression feels more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “medical research projects,” “funds,” “startups,” and “clearance process,” so the reader can understand the general subject and your position. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow: “research projects in the field of medical,” “advance equipments,” and “on the benificial side” are examples. Spelling errors such as “weather,” “fase,” and “ecoms” also reduce precision. Aim to learn common academic collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “medical research,” “advanced equipment,” and “beneficial” would make the argument clearer and more appropriate in tone.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the response includes some subordinate clauses, such as “as nowaday most of the funds are provided by the private companies.” However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction occur across the response and sometimes make relationships between ideas hard to understand. For example, “conditions are been discovered” should use a correct passive form, while “the funds they only have limited budget” needs a clearer subject and article. Several sentences also join ideas awkwardly, particularly the sentence beginning “Firstly, the funds some private companies…”. Practise accurate passive constructions and build complex sentences around one clear main clause. Careful proofreading for punctuation and sentence boundaries would improve control.
