Student answer (Band 5.5)
Well, India is a developed country. Even medical field is very developed and there are people who do participate in medical research. Medical research is also one major supporting factor in development of medical field. There are several private companies funds the medical research project.
In India, there is growing market of medical field. In this one of the major factor is medical research, which plays a vital role in the development of medical field by evolving existing technologies, or by adopting foreign technologies and methods, by applying the mixture of our method and new technology method and many more.In addition to that, many project are funded by government, or individuals or private companies. One of the major benefit of funded medical research project is that the researcher is free from financial hurdles and do there work with more focus and precision. For example, laser eye operation project is funded by the Reliance industries and it is done by Doctor Darshan Dabhi. As it is funded by private company Darshan can focus on there work and improve there efficiency without taking worry about the financial research and development cost for this project.
Moreover that, as we know that every coin has two sides. similarly, this funded research project also have there own positive and negative side of it. If we talk about the individual funded research project then a person should invest all money resources and other necessary stuff by there own. On the other hand, government funded and private companies funded project both are risk free and financially secure and also they provides resources if we need any but as my point of view government funded project are better compare to any private company project because of authenticity and trustability.
To conclude, we can say that government funded research project are better choice over any private company research project because of trustability and authenticity.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear final preference for government funding, stating that it offers greater “authenticity and trustability,” and you include a relevant example involving a privately funded eye-operation project. However, the response only partly answers the comparison in the question. The discussion of individual funding is brief, while the advantages and disadvantages of government and private funding are not explained in enough detail to make the preference convincing. The opening claims about India’s medical sector also take space without directly establishing which funding model is best. Develop the reasons behind your position—for example, how public oversight might protect research priorities—and explain the example more clearly so it supports your argument rather than simply illustrating funding.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, discussion of funding, a comparison paragraph, and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps the reader identify these stages, and transitions such as “Moreover” and “To conclude” signal movement between them. However, progression is uneven: the first paragraph repeats general claims about medical development, and the second combines several points about technology, funding, and the example without a clear sequence. Some linking is mechanical, particularly “every coin has two sides,” and references such as “this funded research project” are not always precise. Organise each body paragraph around one main comparison, then use clear topic sentences and connect each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “medical research,” “financial hurdles,” “resources,” and “authenticity,” which helps communicate the subject. There is also some effort to vary expression, such as “plays a vital role” and “financially secure.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, sometimes making the intended meaning less clear. For instance, “trustability” is not a natural choice here, and “mixture of our method and new technology method” is awkward and imprecise. Repeated use of “medical field,” “funded,” and “project” also limits flexibility. Build a more precise set of terms for funding, oversight, research outcomes, and public benefit, and check that phrases sound natural in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple sentences and some longer structures, including clauses introduced by “because” and “if,” so there is an attempt to vary sentence form. However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to follow. Examples include “there are several private companies funds,” “many project are funded,” and “they provides resources,” where subject–verb agreement or plural forms are incorrect. Other sentences have faulty construction, such as “as my point of view government funded research project are better compare.” Punctuation and sentence boundaries also need attention, especially where sentences run together after “many more.” Practise accurate agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries before adding more complex structures.
