Student answer (Band 5.5)
Development in medical science is crucial for the nation as it helps in finding formulas for existing desieses . Most
of the research project are carried out by the private firms . I strongly believe these type of development should be carried by private comanies this eassy will discuss the reasion behind this before leading to a logical coclusion .
To commence with , private firms give more attention on quality of work because these are profit oriented companies for more profit they can hire educater and experienced staff . To explain this , to launch the formula first in the market they preferred experienced persons who get knowledge about this field and also give opportunities to deserving people for instance report which was published by the uniqe company in 2019 they gave the statement how the staff hirred from USA proved benificial for them in incrising their growth
Furthermore, by giving the responsibility of medical science to private companies authorities can work effectively in other feilds .To justify the statement, medical research is very big responsibility for the government , giving this work to the private firm lawmakers can focus more on technology advancements, quality education for the students ,Economic growth. for example the Time of india published that after giving the medicial responsibility to private organisation the Japanese Government get more advancement in Artificial intelligence and boost their economy
In conclusion , although private firms give more attention on quality of work for their profit ,yet it helps authorities to concentrate on other developments

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you support private companies conducting medical research, and you give two relevant reasons—profit may encourage firms to hire experienced staff, and government can focus on other areas. These points address the topic, but they are only partly developed. The example about a company’s 2019 report is vague and does not explain what research or outcome it demonstrates; the Japan example also makes a broad claim without showing how private research led to the stated advances. The response gives little consideration to whether individuals or government should conduct research, despite the question inviting a choice among all three. Explain why your preferred option is better, and support each reason with specific, credible detail.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To commence with” and “Furthermore,” and a conclusion. This helps readers identify your main reasons. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because explanations and examples are not clearly connected. For instance, the first body paragraph moves from profit to hiring staff and then to an unclear report, while the second shifts from government responsibilities to education, economic growth, and artificial intelligence. Some linking phrases, such as “To justify the statement,” feel formulaic rather than showing the precise relationship between ideas. Use clearer topic sentences, develop one point at a time, and explain explicitly how each example supports its paragraph’s claim.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “medical science,” “profit oriented,” “experienced staff,” and “economic growth,” and these choices make your general argument understandable. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors distract the reader, such as “desieses,” “comanies,” “reasion,” and “medicial.” Some combinations are also unnatural: “give more attention on quality of work” and “launch the formula first in the market” do not express the intended ideas precisely. Aim to learn accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “clinical research,” “research funding,” and “bring a treatment to market” would help you explain the topic with greater clarity and control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer structures, including “although private firms give more attention …, yet it helps authorities…”. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries can make relationships unclear. For example, “Most of the research project are carried out” has a plural-agreement problem, while “these type of development should be carried” does not match the plural subject. The opening also contains a sentence fragment after “for more profit,” and several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected supporting clause, then check subject–verb agreement and punctuation.
