Student answer (Band 4.5)

Nowadays, many medical research projects are funded by private companies.

In my opinion,

Many medicals research projects are paid for by private companies. some people think this is good, but other think government should do concentrates on the research, but private companies can also helpful.

Because Privates companies have many benifits. they have a lot of money and they can do research quickly. They also have many good position labs and have many expert peoples in the labs. For example ; during covid 19 privates companies like pfizer made vaccines very fast So they are very important companies.

On the other hand , there are many problems with the privates companies because their aim is just earning. So they make medicine is very expensive. For example :some cancer medicine are very costly.Because privates companies want more money. So they are hide side effect and just concentrate on the daily income.

In my opinion privates companies should sports with government.Because health for every one.

But i think govrment do good .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address the topic by discussing both private companies and government, and your view that they should work together is relevant. The Pfizer example gives some support to the point that private firms can develop vaccines quickly, while the comments about costly cancer medicines identify a possible drawback. However, the position is not fully clear: you end with “But i think govrment do good” after saying companies should work with government. The reasons are brief and several claims, such as companies hiding side effects, are not explained or supported. The response is 157 words, so it is 93 words below the required minimum; this limits how fully you can develop the task. State your position clearly and expand each reason with explanation or an example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: you introduce the issue, present advantages of private companies, contrast these with disadvantages, and give a concluding opinion. “On the other hand” helps signal the change in direction, and the examples are placed near the points they support. However, the opening repeats the prompt and then restarts the introduction, while the final two sentences do not clearly connect: “companies should sports with government” is followed by “govrment do good.” Several ideas run together, and full stops and paragraph breaks are inconsistent, making the progression difficult to follow. Use one clear paragraph for each main point, connect claims to explanations, and make the conclusion directly reflect your stated position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “research,” “vaccines,” “cancer medicine,” “side effect,” and “income,” which helps communicate the main subject. The response also attempts to express contrasts between benefits and drawbacks. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “many medicals research projects,” “good position labs,” and “daily income.” Spelling errors including “benifits,” “Privates,” and “govrment” also reduce accuracy. These issues sometimes make the intended meaning less clear, although the main ideas can generally be understood. Build a more precise set of phrases for funding, medical research, affordability, and public oversight, and check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You communicate several ideas using simple sentences and make an attempt to form longer clauses with “because” and “so.” For example, “They have a lot of money and they can do research quickly” is understandable. However, the range of sentence structures is very limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation. Examples include “other think,” “private companies can also helpful,” “they make medicine is very expensive,” and “they are hide side effect.” Capitalisation and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and complete verb patterns, such as “can be helpful” and “they hide side effects,” before attempting longer sentences. Clear, correctly punctuated simple sentences would make your reasoning easier to follow.
