Student answer (Band 5.0)
In current era, a lots of health related research is carried out to find the remedies of serious diseases. Hence, most of the studies are supported financially by private sectors. Although private organizations can make a valuable contribution to scientific research. I believe that government should take the main responsibility. The following essay would explain aforementioned opinion with relevant reasons and examples.
There are many reasons why official authority should take resposnsibility of study in medical project; However, one of the most significant one is to get free of cost for public. To justify further, If research is held by executive then cost the medicine will be more cheaper or free than medicine found by private autority or any individual. For example, In COVID-19, everyone got vaccine for free of cost because study for vaccine was founded by judiciary.
In addition, another crucial reason for selecting administration is easy availability. In more precise words, medicine can be available in all public hospital or team from officials is sent to all areas to provide medicine. For instance, If remedy of cancer is found by government then it can be available to all people and no one have to suffer for finding this medicine.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is identifiable: you acknowledge that private organisations can contribute, then argue that government should take the main responsibility. You also give two relevant reasons—affordability and access—and illustrate them with references to COVID-19 vaccines and cancer treatment. However, the response addresses the task only partially: it does not meaningfully compare government funding with research by private companies or individuals, and the examples are asserted rather than explained. The claim that everyone received a free vaccine, for instance, needs qualification and clearer support. The response is also 48 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your reasoning. Explain how public oversight could ensure fair access, and address the alternatives directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction states your view, followed by two body paragraphs presenting reasons and examples. Linking expressions such as “In addition” and “For instance” help signal the relationship between points. However, progression is limited because each paragraph moves quickly from a broad claim to an example without explaining the connection in detail. Some transitions are awkward or mechanically used, including “To justify further” and “In more precise words.” The essay also ends without a concluding paragraph, so the position is not brought together at the end. Develop each reason through explanation and consequence, use clearer references between sentences, and add a brief conclusion summarising why government should lead.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “medical research,” “serious diseases,” “vaccine,” and “availability,” so the reader can follow the general subject. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “valuable contribution” and “crucial reason.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, sometimes making meaning less clear. For example, “get free of cost for public” does not express the intended idea naturally, while “medicine found by private authority” is imprecise. Spelling errors such as “resposnsibility” and “autority” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of phrases for funding, public access, and distribution, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession beginning “Although private organizations…” and conditional examples such as “If remedy of cancer is found by government…”. These attempts show an effort to vary sentence structure, but complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader pause. The opening “Although” clause is a fragment because it has no main clause; “the cost the medicine will be more cheaper” has an unclear structure and incorrect comparative form; and “no one have to suffer” has subject–verb agreement and modal-form problems. Capitalisation after commas and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent. Practise complete clause structures, agreement, articles, and comparatives, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
