Student answer (Band 4.5)

Nowdays, many medical research projects are funded by private companies, the government, or individuals. Private companies may sometimes claim that their products are good to increase sales. Therefore, all medicines should be properly tested before they are approved for public use.

If, government funded this project governments must maintain a central role in medical research plays a pivole role in advacing healthcare and extending human life expectancy. While the projects which funded by private companies is always be risky but good also. And they do all test of their products because they doesn't have chances of failure. They use better quality products instend of saving money and, companies follow the proper medical test method. They work without giving bribe senior officers to get their project approved. When this project launched in market with proper testing. When patient take this medicince he/she must be not faced by many problem. if, project orgasnised by individuals so maker shuold be not affort cost of big medicines like cancer.

So, there are many reasones why medical projects organised by government firstly, they use the best quality of their products, also they hier people for normal workes like cleaning, cooking so, even those who are not qualified can get a because of it. Medicinesshould be properly tested and approved to ensure that they have no defects and also all people can affort this medicines because this medicines made by government so it's cheaper and better than private companies. That's why this type of projects are always be organised by government for cheap and good qualities.

In conclusion, my opinion medical research can be funded by private companies, the government, or individuals. However, all medical projects should be tested properly to ensure that medicines are safe and effective for everyone.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address the question by discussing government, private-company and individual funding, and your preference for government support becomes clearest when you say medicines would be “cheaper and better than private companies.” You also give relevant reasons, including public affordability and the risk that individuals cannot afford costly cancer research. However, the position is not maintained consistently: the conclusion says research “can be funded” by all three, rather than clearly reaffirming which should lead. Several claims, such as companies using better-quality products and avoiding bribery, are asserted without explanation or examples, and the opening focus on testing does not fully answer who should fund research. Develop and support one clear position throughout. (The response contains 9 words copied from the task prompt.)

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and it attempts to group reasons about private funding and government funding. Basic signposting such as “Therefore,” “So” and “In conclusion” helps show some relationships. However, the progression is difficult to follow because ideas shift abruptly, and the second paragraph combines government’s role, company testing, individual funding and patient outcomes without a clear sequence. Several sentence fragments beginning “When” interrupt the flow, while repeated “also” and “so” do not always show the precise connection between points. The conclusion also weakens the direction established in the body. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “medical research,” “approved for public use,” “healthcare,” “life expectancy” and “properly tested.” These choices make the general subject understandable. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, such as “do all test,” “normal workes,” “affort cost” and “cheap and good qualities.” Spelling errors—including “Nowdays,” “pivole,” “advacing” and “Medicinesshould”—are frequent enough to distract the reader. Some repeated basic words, especially “good,” “properly” and “project,” also limit precision. Build a more accurate set of collocations for funding, testing and affordability, and proofread spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional opening with “If” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, control is weak across these structures, and errors often make relationships or meanings difficult to follow. For example, “If, government funded this project governments must maintain a central role” has faulty punctuation and an incomplete, confused structure; “they doesn't have chances” has incorrect agreement; and “When patient take this medicince he/she must be not faced” contains errors in articles, verb form and sentence construction. Sentence boundaries are also unreliable, with fragments such as “When this project launched in market.” Practise forming complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, then check agreement, tense and punctuation.
