Medical research is vital to aid the battle of the society against fatality. Research is feassible to succeed when there is a lot of funds and dedication that is alloted for it. This essay would talk about my opinion on who for me is the one who should carry out researches about the said matter.
In my opinion, private companies must have the priviledge to conduct studies about medical issues. It is true that some research were made possible by the government, however, the funds are limited and some are misused and diverted to other issues, and turned out to be corrupted. As for the individuals who will do the research has a deeper reasons as to why they will involve theirselves in such studies, they will need a high funding and equipment that only the government and the private companies have. It will be beneficial for the society if the private companies will be entrusted of such researches. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you argue that private companies should conduct medical research, and you give relevant reasons, including their funding, equipment, expertise and ability to work efficiently. You also acknowledge government involvement and individuals, so the response engages with the options in the question. However, these alternatives are not explored equally: the point about individuals is brief, and the claim that public funds are sometimes misused is asserted without an example or explanation. The benefits of private research are also listed more than demonstrated. To strengthen the response, develop one or two reasons with a specific example and explain how private funding can serve public health while addressing possible concerns such as commercial priorities.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, a body paragraph presenting your case and a conclusion that restates your position. The sequence of reasons in the body is generally understandable, and signposts such as “first,” “Second” and “Another” help readers follow the list. However, the body paragraph contains several distinct points in one long block, and the repeated use of “the said matter” and “private companies” makes the links feel mechanical. Some references are unclear, particularly “they” in the discussion of individuals and “the about matter.” Use separate paragraphs to group the comparison with government and individuals from the benefits of private research, and make pronoun references explicit. This would create clearer progression and smoother cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “medical issues,” “funding,” “equipment,” “protocols” and “financial capacity,” which helps communicate your main argument. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “research,” “matter” and “beneficial,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural. For example, “battle of the society against fatality” and “aid the rate of unsuccessfully treated people” make the intended meaning difficult to interpret. Spelling errors such as “feassible,” “priviledge” and “indurty” also reduce precision. Aim for more natural academic phrasing and check spelling and word forms carefully; precise expressions will make your reasoning clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “It will be beneficial for the society if the private companies will be entrusted…” and a sentence beginning “As for the individuals…”. However, some sentence structures are faulty or incomplete, and errors in verb forms, agreement and articles recur. For instance, “some research were made possible” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “As for the individuals who will do the research has…” does not form a complete, well-controlled clause. The long sentence listing reasons also becomes difficult to follow because its clauses are not clearly structured. Practise building complex sentences around a clear subject and main verb, and check agreement and article use during revision.
