Student answer (Band 6.0)
Yes, this is a very common scenario in medical research projects nowadays that these are funded by many private companies and honestly speaking, I appreciate the concept in a positive manner.
First of all, medical based research is something which is connected with thousand of people of a nation and it has broader way of carrying forward to other countries as well. So doing the research properly with proper equipments, ways and process is much more needed than ever. I will come to my point on supporting private companies, but first I would like to present some drawbacks of individuals or government.
It is really tough for an individual to fund a medical research project. A project is never consist of one person. There are many part related with this. It can be instrument based, money and people based and so on. When an individual dares to fund a project like this, he can not be any normal person of course. He must be a billionaire or a very wealthy individual who must have well enough medical research experience as well. This is not something that you have money and power and thats why you are just funding someone. This sort of situation creates mess in research projects.
And if I write you about government, in some sort it has a good impact. Government funding is reliable, question will arise less, people connected with this research will be strongly ensured that their work will be treated right. But the support that government provide that is not proper in many times. So the researchers can't complete it the way they wanted or thought to do.
On the other hand, there are many structured private companies that provide funds to many medical researchers. I appriciate them more as I feel private companies are more structured than government, they have proper SOP, they are well aligned with what they are doing, how the fund will create value in their company and how the researcher as well as the medical industry will be benefited by this.
So considering the three side, I strongly believe that medicaal research should be carried by private companies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you support private companies, and you address the alternatives of individual and government funding. The discussion of individuals gives a relevant reason—that one person may lack the resources and expertise—and you acknowledge that government funding can be reliable. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, you say private companies are “more structured” and can create value for both themselves and researchers, but you do not give a concrete example or explain how commercial interests would be kept from influencing research priorities. The government drawback, that support is “not proper in many times,” is also vague. Develop these comparisons with specific consequences or an example to make the argument more convincing and balanced.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate discussion of individual and government funding, a paragraph supporting private companies, and a concluding position. Transitions such as “First of all,” “On the other hand,” and “So” help signal the direction of the argument. At times, however, the linking feels mechanical, and some references are unclear. For instance, “the support that government provide” is followed by “that is not proper,” without specifying what kind of support is inadequate. The opening paragraph also announces that you will discuss drawbacks before presenting your view, which delays the central argument. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each reason directly to its effect; this would make the progression smoother and the relationships between ideas easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “medical research projects,” “fund,” “researchers,” and “medical industry,” and the main meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “structured” and “create value.” However, several word choices and collocations are unnatural or imprecise, including “medical based research,” “broader way of carrying forward,” and “the three side.” Repetition of “proper” in “proper equipments, ways and process” also limits precision. Spelling errors such as “appriciate” and “medicaal” are noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling; for example, use “medical research,” “advance research,” and “the three options” in these contexts.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “When an individual dares to fund a project like this” and contrastive clauses beginning “On the other hand.” The overall meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. Examples include “a project is never consist of one person,” “many part related with this,” and “the support that government provide,” which show problems with verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction. There are also errors in articles and plurals, as in “a broader way” and “proper equipments.” Some long sentences combine several ideas without clear punctuation, particularly the sentence beginning “I appreciate them more.” Review subject–verb agreement, countable nouns, and clause boundaries, then edit each sentence for accuracy.
