Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear preference for government funding: “In my opinion government should fund medical research,” and you mention private companies, individuals, and government, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the task is addressed only partially. The reasons are brief and mostly asserted rather than explained: for example, you say companies seek profit and that governments have a responsibility to protect people, but do not show how these points affect research outcomes. The reference to Bu Ali Sina and Robert is not explained or connected clearly to your argument. The response also does not meet the required minimum length, leaving little room to develop examples or compare the funding options. Extend each main point with a specific explanation and a relevant example, and make your conclusion explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall order: it introduces your view, considers private companies and individuals, and then discusses government funding. This gives the reader a general sense of the argument. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited, and the ideas are not consistently linked. For instance, “however, they still help the people indirectly” does not explain the connection between companies’ profit motive and public benefit. The final sentence introduces cooperation among all three groups without showing how this relates to your earlier preference for government funding. Use clear paragraph breaks and develop one central point in each paragraph. Linking expressions such as “although” and “therefore” can help show relationships, but they need to connect fully explained ideas rather than stand in for explanation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “medical research,” “private companies,” “profits,” “tax,” and “budget,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the meaning less clear, such as “research works,” “means toward peoples,” and “indifrectly.” Some expressions are also imprecise: “take part in research purposes” does not clearly say whether individuals fund, conduct, or support research. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and vary repeated words such as “government” and “help.” Proofread spelling and choose specific terms for the role each group plays. This would make your argument easier to follow and more precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate your main position using mostly simple sentence patterns, and some sentences are understandable, such as “Government should take part in doing medical research to help mankind.” However, the range of structures is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include “government should funded,” where the verb form is incorrect, and “The private companies has,” where the subject and verb do not agree. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “which a individual lacks” and the run-on final sentence beginning “However, if private companies…”. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb forms after modal verbs, and article use. Then combine ideas with controlled complex sentences and check punctuation between clauses.
