Student answer (Band 5.5)

In todays rapidly changing world medical research has become a matter of considerable debate , and i believe that research should not be depend on private secctos . Goverments should step forward to provide funds to students or scientist so they can research in medical fields. In this essay we will duscuss that private companies or goverment should funded this department.

In current time, so many private company are involved in medical researches. and the major reason is that goverments dont have wide range of research centers and fundings. Due to this reason private company stepped forward and start researching on medical sectors and they are generating revenue from it . Paying taxes to goverment and helping to improve economy situation to countries. For instance, In my country there is a research center name shoukat khanam who is involved in researches about cancer, which is very expensive and a middle class patient cannot afford to have blood test over there.Patients has to pay hefty amounts for blood test or other tests .

On the other hands , i believe that goverment should play a vital role to funds to research centers so medicines can be cheap and affordable to people.Goverment has to come forward and funded the research centers which will lead to increase the number of scientist and students will attract to medical sector.I strongly agree with it and according to me this is very crucil step which goverment need to take. For exmaple, in america mostly research centers are funded by goverment thats why medicines and other medical facilities are free for theirs civilians and affordable for them.

In consulsion, Private research centers are positive developments for country's economy meanwhile goverments should take care about it as well to make sure that medical facilities can be affordable for everyone in their country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you believe governments should fund medical research so that treatments and services are affordable, while acknowledging that private companies also contribute. You address both sides and include relevant examples, such as the cancer research centre in your country and government-funded research in America. However, some points need fuller explanation. For instance, you claim private research helps the economy through taxes, but do not explain how this relates to who should fund research. The claim that medical facilities are free in America is also broad and would be stronger with a more precise example. Develop the reasons behind your preference and connect each example directly to your argument to make the response more complete and convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs discussing private and government funding, and a conclusion. This gives the reader a coherent overall path through your argument. You also use linking expressions such as “Due to this reason,” “On the other hands,” and “In conclusion” to signal relationships between ideas. At times, however, cohesion is mechanical or unclear: the introduction says “In this essay we will discuss” without clearly previewing your position, and the sentence about taxes and the economy is not smoothly connected to the preceding point. Some sentences are joined with full stops or commas in ways that interrupt the flow. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “medical research,” “research centers,” “affordable,” “revenue,” and “civilians,” and your meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “play a vital role” and “considerable debate.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable, including “Goverments,” “secctos,” “crucil,” and “consulsion.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “fundings,” “researches about cancer,” and “economy situation.” These issues limit the precision and control of your vocabulary. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for discussing funding, research, and public services; this will make your argument sound more natural and exact.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “Due to this reason” and a purpose clause explaining that medicines “can be cheap and affordable.” The main ideas can usually be followed, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries are frequent enough to affect accuracy. For example, “research should not be depend” needs a passive form, while “private company are involved” has a subject–verb agreement problem. “Goverment should funded” also uses the wrong verb form. Several fragments, such as “Paying taxes to goverment,” are not complete sentences. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, and proofread for agreement and complete sentence structure.
