Student answer (Band 5.0)
These days, private companies funded many medical research projects or that research should be conducted by individuals or government. In my perspective research should be carried by both government and private companies. I will explain my point of view in the following paragraphs.
To commence with, at the present time mostly researches carried ou by pivate organizations, but this is also the responsibility of governments to allocate funds for medical projects. The main reason of this is if only private sectors use their money on these type of works, then the results of thisresearches are very high and common people cannot afford it. For example, if medicines are made by private sectors, then these are overpriced. Because they set the prices of these according to their expenses, and they have to fulfill their all money from general public. Consequently, the basic necessity of life is overcharged and do not come in the range of general public.
Moreover, its the responsibility of government to allocate funds for medical field, so that rates of medicine do not increase, and everyone buy these on cheap prices. However, individuals only provide these type of fundings if they are rich and do not charged more prices. For instance, nowadays people provide many fundings not even or researches, but they also start the ambulance services free of cost for the benefit or ease of patients and their families. Thus, to provide equal basic medical facilities to everyone government have to take some positive steps.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a relevant, identifiable position: medical research should be funded by both governments and private companies. The concern that private funding can lead to expensive medicines is pertinent, and the example of free ambulance services supports the idea that public or individual contributions can benefit patients. However, the response only partly develops the comparison requested: the role of private companies is discussed mainly as a cause of high prices, while the benefits of their research investment are not explained. The point about individuals is also brief and unclear, and the conclusion is unfinished, so the argument does not reach a complete resolution. Develop each funding source with a clear reason and a specific example, then restate your position in a complete conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure, and signposts such as “To commence with,” “Moreover,” and “in conclusion” show an attempt to guide the reader. The main ideas can generally be followed: private funding may raise prices, while government support could improve access. However, progression is limited because the second body paragraph shifts between government funding and individual donations without clearly connecting them to the central comparison. Some linking is mechanical, and references such as “these” and “these type of works” are not always clear. The final line, “in conclusion, these type of works a,” is incomplete and leaves the essay without a coherent ending. Organise each paragraph around one funding source or argument, use precise references, and complete the conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “medical projects,” “private sectors,” “allocate funds,” and “basic medical facilities,” which helps communicate the topic. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “these type of works,” “provide these type of fundings,” and “overcharged.” Spelling errors in “pivate” and “researches” also reduce accuracy, while repeated use of “funds,” “prices,” and “government” limits flexibility. Aim for more precise expressions for research funding, medicine costs, and access to treatment, and check spelling and word forms. More accurate topic vocabulary would make the argument clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if only private sectors use their money… then the results…,” and you use connectors to express cause and consequence. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “private companies funded many medical research projects or that research should be conducted,” where the opening clause is not grammatically complete, and “everyone buy these,” which has incorrect subject–verb agreement. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “the basic necessity of life is overcharged and do not come in the range.” Practise building complete sentences and checking agreement, verb forms, and punctuation before submission.
