Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays it is observed that many medical research projects are funded by private companies to make medician for people well-being and to be ready for any future virus. I am partial with the statement.
To begin, generally maximum medical research are done by private companies and funding as well it is due the modernization where every companies, individuals and governments are in race to be the best at medical field for example to create medician, education or treatment. In addition, in recent time the covid-19 period where every country was phaseing problem of corna virus and there was no cure for that at moment from which alot of people died which is an serious issue moreover from this the companies, individuals and government have invested in medical field.
On the other hand, the medical field are run by private companies due to there finances and the equipment they have and the research team of doctors and scientest moreover all the private companies have to provide data and update to the government and teh government keep tracking the private companies project just to be sure that companies are operateing in the legal boundaries(under government rule). In addition, the medical industry is one of the most profitable industries in the entire world. In contrast, the government provide the private companies the projects or contracts for research purposes and for the good will of society and government have budget issues too.
In conclusion, I believe that it should not be bother that who should carry out the research projects unless the society is benefiting from the research.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address the broad topic of who should conduct medical research and give a relevant example through the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the prompt asks you to choose among private companies, individuals, or government, and your position—“I am partial with the statement”—is unclear. The conclusion that it “should not be bother that who” conducts research does not clearly answer which option you support. The discussion also shifts between private companies and government without comparing their roles or explaining your preference; the point about government budgets is left undeveloped. To strengthen the response, state a definite position in the introduction and support it with specific reasons and examples. The response meets the required length; nine words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To begin” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. The COVID-19 example is relevant, and the paragraphing helps separate points. However, there is no clear progression toward a consistent answer: the first body paragraph discusses competition among several groups, while the next focuses mainly on private companies and government, and the conclusion avoids choosing between them. Linking expressions such as “moreover,” “in addition,” and “in contrast” are repeated or do not always show the relationship between ideas accurately. Organise each paragraph around one clear reason, use references that make the connections explicit, and ensure the conclusion follows from the position established at the start.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “medical research,” “treatment,” “research team,” “contracts,” and “profitable industries,” so the subject is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled choices make parts difficult to understand, such as “medician,” “phaseing,” “corna virus,” and “scientest.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “partial with the statement,” “the good will of society,” and “operateing in the legal boundaries.” Aim for accurate collocations and spelling, for example, “conduct research,” “public health,” and “within legal limits.” More precise vocabulary for comparing funding sources would also help you explain the roles of companies, individuals, and governments rather than repeating broad terms such as “medical field” and “research.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a relative clause in “the COVID-19 period where every country…” and a conditional-style conclusion beginning “unless.” However, complex sentences are often difficult to follow because of faulty clause structure and punctuation, as in “which is an serious issue moreover from this the companies…” Subject–verb agreement and articles are also inconsistent: “medical research are done,” “the medical field are run,” and “an serious issue.” Other examples include “government provide” and “every companies.” These recurring errors sometimes obscure the relationships between ideas. Build accuracy by checking agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, and practise dividing long sentences into shorter, complete clauses before adding more complex structures.
