Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the topic and offer a broad position: private organisations and individuals can contribute, while government should also support research. The points about private institutions having facilities and avoiding lengthy approval processes are relevant. However, the position is not consistently clear: the opening mainly describes who conducts research, and the conclusion says everyone able should participate without explaining which should lead or how responsibilities should be divided. Several claims, such as research covering heart problems and tumours, are listed rather than explained with a specific example or reason. Develop a clear answer to the choice in the question, then support each main point with a concrete example and explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and transitions such as “Furthermore” and “To conclude” signal stages in the argument. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because the opening repeats the question rather than establishing a clear argument, and the body moves between private institutions, individuals and government without a consistent comparison. Some links between ideas are unclear, particularly the long sentence listing products, health problems and research participants. Referencing is also confusing in phrases such as “they” and “itselves.” Organise the essay around a clear sequence—for example, compare the strengths of private research and government funding—and use shorter sentences with explicit links between each claim and its explanation.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “antibiotic,” “bacterial infection,” “inventions” and “approval,” and phrases such as “higher authorities” show an effort to discuss research processes. However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, including “germes,” “disfunction,” “tumers,” “varios aspact” and “entair.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “take steps for the better product” and “do search on the new invention.” Build a reliable set of accurate terms for medical research and funding, and check spelling and collocation carefully. Prefer precise expressions such as “conduct research,” “fund clinical studies” and “develop new treatments” over repeated use of “invention.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “If we say at the level of official state…” and a relative clause in “products … which are helpful.” However, control is inconsistent, and frequent errors sometimes make the intended meaning hard to follow. For example, “Government also be takes step” has an incorrect verb form, while “Single individual donnot have to much amount” has problems with number, negation and sentence structure. The long sentence beginning “Over daily use products…” also lacks clear grammatical organisation and punctuation. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns, articles and plural forms, and divide complex ideas into shorter sentences before attempting more elaborate structures.
