Student answer (Band 5.0)
In contemporary era, the advancement of technology has brought a great change in every field especially, medical reasearch. Some people argue that funds are given by private company, while others say that it funded by individuals or govenment. I agree with this latter arguments because scientists play an important role to make our life more easier and so, everyone should contribute through financially.
To begin with, investing money in medical field by government can help in health sectors which helps to improve the well-being. This is because they have expensive tools to bring a great change in medical field. For example, during covid-19 pandemic, scientists discovered vaccines to cure the symptoms of severe diseases. This is demonstrate that health is more important than anything and government should invest money in health care centers. Therefore, the research should carried by governmet because it is reach to every one who need it.
However, private organizations should organize the reasearch in private department. When they give treatment to people who are rich and make more money, others poor people cannot access the treatment. Personally, I suggest that government should take a hold on research and reach eveyone who needed.
In conclusion, many private investors invest money in medical research projects, whereas, government should carry projects for overall well-being. In my opinion,
I suggest that government should take a control .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear preference for government involvement, especially in the opening and conclusion, and the COVID-19 vaccine example is relevant. However, the task asks you to consider whether research should be carried out by private companies, individuals, or government, and your discussion of individuals is almost absent. The reasons for government funding are also limited: the point about expensive tools is not fully explained, and the claim that government research reaches everyone needs supporting detail. The response is also 23 words below the required minimum, which leaves little space to develop your position. To strengthen the response, address all three options directly and explain how public funding could ensure access while still allowing private research to contribute.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
Your response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The contrast signalled by “To begin with” and “However” helps readers follow the main points, and the COVID-19 example is placed in the paragraph about government investment. However, progression is limited: the second body paragraph shifts to private organisations without clearly comparing their role with government or individuals, and the conclusion repeats the recommendation rather than drawing together the reasons. Some links are also unclear, such as “Therefore, the research should carried by governmet because it is reach to every one.” Use clearer references and develop each paragraph around one connected claim, explanation and example; this would make the overall progression more consistent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “medical research,” “vaccines,” “treatment,” and “well-being,” so the main subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, including “make our life more easier,” “investing money in medical field,” and “take a hold on research.” Spelling errors such as “reasearch,” “govenment,” and “eveyone” are noticeable and reduce the accuracy of the writing. Aim to use more precise phrases for funding, access and research outcomes, and check spelling carefully. For example, “government should invest money” could become “the government should allocate funding,” while “reach everyone” could be expressed as “ensure that treatments are accessible to the wider population.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “This is because” and a contrast introduced by “while.” However, errors occur frequently and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Examples include “it funded by individuals,” “the research should carried,” and “This is demonstrate,” where auxiliary verbs or verb forms are missing or incorrect. There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence construction, as in “In contemporary era” and “everyone should contribute through financially.” The final sentence, “I suggest that government should take a control,” is incomplete in meaning. Practise building accurate clauses with a subject and correctly formed verb, then check articles and verb patterns before submitting.
