Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the contemporary era, private companies are funding numerous research projects than government companies. Although private companies facilitate to the significant proportion of medical research projects, however from my perspective, research should be carried by government.
Initially, I would likke to talk about private companies which are seemed more curious to fund the medical research projects. It may be convenient in several ways such as private companies facilitate a lot of medical research projects with high funding. From my perspective, it is one of the major reason that why most of medical research projects are funded by private companies instead of government. It is due to that government are not taking these projects seriously, as administration don't know that these projects play vital role in the progress and advancement of any country. Consequently, asa long as government will show negligence about it, we can't have any solution for it. In addition, private companies also assist medical research projects with modern and advance technology. Therefore, researchers can do their work in a more efficient way. Furthermore, these successful researches bring their companies to the international level.
On the other hand, research should be carried by government because it is a duty of government to take actions for the progress of their country. Actually, when medical research projects would carried by governmentand make any progress, Consequently it will be better for the reputation of the government. Moreover, any revolutionary in the country or even in the research will bring our country in the list of top conturies. In order to do it, government should facilitate the medical research projects with more opportunities.
In conclusion, Although private companies have great access to the medical research projects but government should be carried out to them

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall preference for government funding, and you also acknowledge potential benefits of private companies, such as providing substantial funding and modern technology. However, the response only partially develops the task: the reasons for government responsibility remain broad, particularly the claims that research improves national progress and government reputation. The discussion of private funding is more developed, but it does not explain possible drawbacks or compare the options in enough depth. The conclusion repeats your preference but is incomplete and does not clearly summarise the reasoning. To strengthen the response, explain how government funding could support research that may not be commercially profitable, and add a specific example to support your position. (The response meets the stated length requirement.)
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs discussing private companies and government, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “In addition,” “Furthermore,” and “On the other hand” help signal relationships between points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from private funding to government negligence and then to company success without consistently connecting these ideas. Some transitions are mechanical or inaccurate, as in “Although … however” and “Consequently” beginning a sentence where the relationship is not clear. The final sentence also ends abruptly. Use fewer, more precise linking phrases and organise each paragraph around one main claim, followed by explanation and an example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “medical research projects,” “funding,” “modern technology,” and “progress and advancement.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “revolutionary” and “international level.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which makes some ideas less clear. For example, “curious to fund” does not naturally express willingness to invest, “any revolutionary” is not the intended noun form, and “top conturies” contains a spelling error. Repetition of “medical research projects” and “government” also limits flexibility. Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check collocations and spelling when revising.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “Although,” “because,” and “as long as.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “research should be carried by government,” “when medical research projects would carried,” and “governmentand make any progress,” where verb forms or sentence construction are incomplete. There are also agreement and article problems, as in “one of the major reason” and “government are not taking.” Punctuation and sentence boundaries need attention, particularly where “Consequently” is joined to the preceding clause. Practise accurate passive forms and subject–verb agreement, then proofread each sentence for a complete verb structure.
