Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is an ongoing debate regarding many private corporation conduct and founding money for the multiple medical research in the contemporary time. it has many benefits for companies as well as governments because medical research take too much time, efforts and facilities and for this types of research private corporation would be the best option in my prospective.

The foremost reason for my argument is that, private corporation has many facilities which people can use it for new innovation as well as it does not requires to much money to spend because companies provides full funding for research and machinery and require education than any others. Moreover, suitable environment plays vital role to do a medical research which large companies can make suitable lab and facilities for the innovation and it also demands large funding to developed without facilities research can be difficult to do. For example reliance industries spends crore rupees to develop the suitable environmental for medical research facilities.

On the other hand, medical research requires imported machinery, to developed new medicine and drugs lots of advance machinery require for production after a research, sometime it is much difficult to import for individuals as well as for governments to maintain and it usage, so to provide for free sometime create many problems related to it usage and expanses to run.

To conclude, although government and individuals also plays important roles in medical research, without private companies facilities, investment and machinery it can be difficult to do medical research. So government should give first priority to the private corporation rather then individuals or by them selves.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear preference for private companies, stating that they can provide funding, laboratories and machinery, and you acknowledge the roles of governments and individuals. These points are relevant to the question. However, the response only partly addresses the choice among all three options: the case for private companies is asserted more than explained, while the disadvantages or possible roles of government and individual researchers receive little development. The example of Reliance Industries is relevant in principle, but “crore rupees” and the claimed research facilities are not explained enough to show how this supports your argument. To strengthen the response, develop two specific reasons with clear cause-and-effect explanations and compare them directly with government or individual funding.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a main paragraph supporting private companies, a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “Moreover,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help signal these stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several points are joined together without clear relationships. For example, the first body paragraph moves from facilities to costs, education and the research environment, making its central argument less focused. The contrast paragraph also discusses imported machinery but does not clearly explain how this establishes a role for government or individuals. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it; use references such as “these facilities” only when their meaning is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “medical research,” “funding,” “machinery,” “innovation,” and “imported,” so the reader can identify the subject and your main position. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, sometimes making the argument harder to understand. Examples include “founding money” for funding, “in my prospective” for expressing your viewpoint, and “suitable environmental” where you mean a suitable environment. “Require education” also does not clearly convey the intended point. Aim to learn common academic collocations and check word forms and spelling. More precise terms such as “research facilities,” “financial investment,” and “specialist expertise” would help you express the ideas more naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a contrast introduced by “although” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, complex sentences are often difficult to control, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries affect clarity. For example, “private corporation has” needs a plural subject or an article, while “medical research take” should have a singular verb. In “it does not requires,” the verb form after “does not” is incorrect; the final sentence also has problems with “government and individuals also plays.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, including the lowercase “it” after the opening full stop and commas that interrupt clauses. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses.
