Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
In recent times, research projects related to the medical sectors are seen to be mostly aided by privately owned companies. From my perspective, researches carried out by individuals while receiving funds from both governments and private companies would be practical because it is quite difficult to find out new areas in medical sectors without hard-work, individual knowledge and some well-rounded funds.
In terms of recearches done in medical arena, most of them are conducted with a large number of sample and go on for a long time as medical specialists usually attempt to seek for areas where they can improve their treatment methods and also regarding newer concerning medical issues. They tend to conduct holistic researches with a huge number of people so that they can maintain accuracy and this requires cognitive workers and proper financial supports. In this case , the crucial part is the intellectuality and knwoledge of the specialists. Individuals ought to know about their area , what could be the possible results, and what are the equipments they need throughout the process. Then, they need a proper support from both government and private sectors to carry on the research.
In addition, government should offer regular funding opportunities to unique and fruitful medical researches as they will accelarate the public service of a nation and might allow the country to be powerful in the competitive world. Private sectors can also aid such researches to enhance their profit with increasing production and supplies of any new medical drug that has been experimented under their name. This will allow the private companies to be in a financially leading position besides serving the people with medical equipments.
To conclude, it can be said that the medical researches can be carried out by specialists, funded by private sectors and government as this will ensure a beneficial outcome that can serve the people properly and lead the nation economically.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you favour specialists conducting research with support from both government and private companies. You address the main options and give relevant reasons, including the need for expertise and funding, public benefit, and companies’ potential profits. The explanation of why specialists should lead the work is more developed than the discussion of how the two funding sources should contribute. For example, the claim that government funding can make a nation more competitive is asserted rather than illustrated, and the private-sector benefit is described generally. To strengthen the response, explain how public and commercial funding could complement each other, and add a specific example showing how this arrangement benefits patients while preserving research quality.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs develop the role of specialists and funders, and the conclusion restates your position. Linking phrases such as “In addition” and “To conclude” make the progression easy to follow. However, some connections are mechanical, and the first body paragraph contains several ideas—research duration, sample size, accuracy, expertise, and funding—without clearly separating their relationships. The phrase “In this case” also has an unclear reference. Use topic sentences to signal each paragraph’s main point, then connect supporting details explicitly; for instance, explain how large samples create a need for both specialist knowledge and sustained funding.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “treatment methods,” “sample,” “accuracy,” “funding opportunities,” and “production and supplies.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “holistic researches” and “financially leading position,” but these are not natural in context and reduce precision. Several spelling errors—“recearches,” “knwoledge,” and “accelarate”—also show that word forms need closer checking. Some phrases are vague or awkward, including “newer concerning medical issues” and “well-rounded funds.” Aim for precise, natural collocations rather than elevated-sounding wording, and proofread spelling. This would make your ideas clearer while retaining the useful range of medical and economic vocabulary already present.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “funds ... that has been experimented under their name” and a purpose clause in “so that they can maintain accuracy.” Meaning is generally clear, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “researches ... are conducted with a large number of sample” has a number/article problem, while “government should offer” needs an article or plural form. The sentence beginning “Individuals ought to know” shifts into a list whose question forms do not fit smoothly with the surrounding statement. Punctuation spacing is also inconsistent, as in “In this case ,”. Review articles, singular and plural agreement, and sentence punctuation, and revise long sentences to keep their grammatical relationships clear.
