Student answer (Band 5.5)

Research projects are very sensitive and improtant thinks for a country. At present, most of the research projects are running by private limited companies. In my prespective, I strongly disagree with this statement because som tie they do not have enough resource or fund and some time they follow some illigel away to early sucses. So I think governments should those projects.

Fristly, Goverment have enough resources to do the research projects. In details, in research projects there are many rare and sansitive matarials are use frequently which is very expansive and do not give premision the local organization. As a result without proper matarials they do not achive a proper result. For instance, nucliar is very sensitive matarials thats why in expariment it requer high amount of safety. If local companies do this expariment it would have lack of safety .Secondly, the funding for the expariment which is very high. A expariment requers high amount of money for the sallary of researchers and thier safety.

Moreover, sometimes the local companies do not expariment properly and they publish the result early to make extra money. As a result, Sometimes people are bedly harmed by the result. Besides, companies are highly want to secret the expariment result so that they can access the benifit of the expariment. Finally, most of the private limited companies buy resurces from black market without informing the goverment and they also expariment on animals or human without any lisance.

In the concclution, I largly argue that all expariments should be did by governments becaues most of the expariments are very expansive and sensitive.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you argue that governments, rather than private companies, should conduct research. You give relevant reasons, including the cost and safety requirements of experiments, the risk of premature publication, and concerns about secrecy or unlicensed activity. The nuclear-research example helps illustrate the safety point. However, the response addresses the choice among private companies, individuals, and government unevenly: it focuses on government versus companies and does not explain whether individuals should have a role. Some claims, such as companies buying resources on the black market or harming people, are asserted without a specific example or explanation. Develop these points with clearer evidence and acknowledge why private funding might sometimes be useful.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has an overall structure: an introduction states your view, body paragraphs present reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Sequencing expressions such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “Finally” help readers follow the main points. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is not always clear. For example, the discussion moves from expensive materials to funding and then to companies publishing results early without fully connecting these points. Some sentences are also difficult to follow because references such as “those projects” are unclear, and the second body paragraph combines several distinct concerns. Use clearer topic sentences, group related ideas, and explain how each example supports the paragraph’s main claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “sensitive materials,” “funding,” “researchers,” and “safety,” and you communicate a consistent position. However, the range and control are limited, with repeated use of “experiment” and “companies” and many spelling errors that make reading less smooth. Examples include “improtant,” “prespective,” “expansive,” and “benifit.” Some word combinations are also unnatural, such as “running by private limited companies” and “follow some illegal away.” Choose more precise academic expressions and check spelling carefully. Vary repeated terms where appropriate, while ensuring alternatives fit the meaning; for example, “research projects” can sometimes be replaced by “studies” or “research programmes.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and some longer sentences with clauses, including “As a result, sometimes people are badly harmed by the result.” This shows an attempt to explain consequences, but control of sentence structure is inconsistent. Errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make meaning harder to follow. For example, “most of the research projects are running by” needs a passive form, while “Government have” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The final sentence, “all experiments should be did by governments,” also has an incorrect verb form. Practise accurate passive constructions and check each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb. More reliable complex sentences would improve clarity.
