Nowadays, many medical research projects are funded by private companies. In your opinion, do you think that research should be carried by private companies, individuals or government?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the recent time as medical science continues to advance rapidly through major breakthroughs in technology, genetics, and patient care. Private companies are funding many medical reseach projests.
I am fully behind this suggestion or the idea because in the modern world it is helpfull for the people that not only goverment, private companies also taking part in reseach and development and making the research faster. For example : Private companies can do reseach faters with the same stander as they have to focuse on only one things while goverment took long process of documentation which make the process slow even some thing they have to stop the reseach to focuse on different resources.
The secound reasone is private companies will hire the new employed or reseacher form market which uplift the medical sectors and of people see growth they want to invest and work more in the medical field. For example : New B2B business will open student want to persure there carrer and it genrate employment for many entry level jobs.
Third and the biggest positive side of this is people have choice in market they do not have to stick with only one kind or medicin or drug. Which explicitly improve the country image and there instuate how good they are.
However, I also stand with the idea that there should be proper rules and regulation on the private companies so that they focues not only on making provit or any kind or inligial reseach.
In my conclusion I stiil stand with that idea that private companies should fund the medical reasech which will be the help hand of people and the medical feild to grow directly or indirectory. I see there are many drow back of this but the positive sidw outweight the consequences

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you support private companies funding medical research, and you give several relevant reasons, including faster research, employment, and greater choice of medicines. The example about companies focusing on one area also helps explain your comparison with government processes. However, the task asks whether research should be carried out by private companies, individuals, or government, and your response mainly argues for private companies without meaningfully considering individuals or explaining what role government should retain. Some points, such as the claim that private research improves a country’s image, are asserted rather than explained. Develop fewer ideas more fully, and address the alternatives directly to make your response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for supporting reasons, a qualification about regulation, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “The second reason” and “However” help readers follow the main direction. At times, though, the progression is mechanical, and connections within paragraphs are unclear. For example, the move from private research creating jobs to “New B2B business” and students pursuing careers needs a clearer explanation. The paragraph about choice of medicines also ends without showing how this supports the main argument. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s central point, then connect each example explicitly to it; clearer referencing would also help readers track ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “medical research,” “breakthroughs,” “patient care,” “employment,” and “rules and regulation.” These terms show an attempt to discuss the topic beyond very basic language. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or imprecise expressions make parts difficult to understand, such as “reseach faters,” “same stander,” and “inligial reseach.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear, including “the help hand of people” and “positive sidw outweight the consequences.” Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, and choose precise terms for your intended meaning. This will make your argument easier to follow and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the response includes some linking clauses, such as the explanation that companies focus on one area while government processes take longer. However, sentence control is inconsistent, and errors often make the intended meaning harder to follow. The opening is a fragment: “In the recent time as medical science continues to advance…”; it needs a main clause. Other examples include “it is helpfull for the people that not only goverment” and “there should be proper rules and regulation,” where sentence structure, agreement, or number is not controlled. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and punctuation before submitting.
