Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You identify government as the main funder in the final sentence, and you refer to research, medicine costs, and public access, so the response is connected to the topic. However, the position is not clearly established until the end, and the discussion does not adequately compare government, private companies, and individuals, as the question asks. Points such as “young youth want to te research” and companies being unable to afford expenses are difficult to interpret and are not supported with clear examples. The response also contains 191 words, below the required 250, so there is not enough space to develop the argument. State your view in the introduction, address the alternatives directly, and explain each reason with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a loose movement from the importance of medical research to the roles of organisations and then to your opinion that governments should lead. This gives the reader a basic sense of the topic and direction. However, the ideas are not arranged into clear paragraphs, and the links between them are often unclear: for example, the sentence about young people researching biological history does not connect clearly to the following claim about governments publishing articles. Connectives such as “in other hand” and “therefor” are attempted but do not reliably show the intended relationship. Organise the response into an introduction, separate reason paragraphs, and a conclusion, using clear links such as “however,” “for example,” and “therefore” only where their meanings fit.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “medical fields,” “researches,” “medicines,” “biological history,” and “expenses.” This shows some effort to discuss the subject beyond very basic everyday language. However, spelling, word forms, and collocations are frequently inaccurate, and several choices make the intended meaning hard to understand: “curical parts,” “all benifical medicines,” and “perfect illness” are examples. Some wording is also repetitive, particularly references to “all” and “goverments.” Build a reliable set of phrases for this topic, such as “fund medical research,” “develop treatments,” and “make medicines affordable,” and check spelling and word combinations before submitting. More precise vocabulary would make your ideas clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts both short statements and longer sentence forms, including a reason introduced by “because” and a concluding sentence beginning “in my opinion.” This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas. However, sentence structure and basic grammatical patterns are often inaccurate, and many sentences are difficult to follow. For example, “the medicial science is developed day by day because of the essential part of individuals” has unclear article use and sentence construction, while “private companies cannot afford all expensives for show the articals” has faulty verb patterns. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, including the opening lowercase letter and repeated full stops. Practise complete subject–verb sentences, articles, and infinitive patterns such as “to develop,” then proofread each sentence for clarity.
