Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You give a relevant opinion that government funding would benefit people, and the COVID-19 vaccine example supports the value of medical research. However, the response addresses the question only partially: it does not compare government funding with private companies or individuals, and the claim about “financial opportunities to citizen” is not explained. The second body paragraph begins a point about confidence in medicines and students’ motivation, but it ends unfinished, so neither idea is developed or supported. The response is also substantially below the required minimum of 250 words, which limits how fully you can explain your position. To improve, state clearly who should fund research, address the alternatives, and develop each reason with explanation and a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening opinion is followed by paragraphs introduced with “On the one hand” and “On the other hand.” The first body paragraph also moves from a general benefit to a COVID-19 example. However, the overall progression is incomplete because the final paragraph stops at “students encourage to work hard in this field for,” leaving the reader without a finished idea or conclusion. The contrast signposts do not establish a clear comparison between funding sources, and “So thay” and “therefore” do not connect the example and conclusion smoothly. Plan a complete sequence—position, developed reasons, comparison, and conclusion—and use linking phrases only where the relationship between ideas is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “medical research projects,” “vaccine,” “widespread impacts,” and “confidence,” so the subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several spelling or word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “diffierent,” “disaeses,” “medinices,” and “benefincial.” Some combinations are also unnatural: “provide healthy lifestyle” and “funding to medical research projects are increased the people confidence.” Aim to learn accurate topic collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, use “improve public health” rather than “provide healthy lifestyle,” and “increase public confidence in medicines” rather than the latter phrase. More precise vocabulary would help express your ideas without relying on repeated general terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including “For example, many developed country funded to research projects for covid 19 vaccine.” However, the range is limited, and errors in basic sentence construction and agreement occur frequently enough to make some ideas hard to follow. Examples include “if government give fund,” “Researcher can able to understand,” and “funding … are increased,” where verb forms, agreement, or sentence patterns are not controlled. The final phrase, “students encourage to work hard in this field for,” is incomplete. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, plurals, and verb agreement. For instance: “Governments can fund research projects” and “Researchers can identify diseases and develop ways to prevent them.”
