Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, many new disease occur all over the world so for the prevention of that problem there must be a biomedical studies projects takes place over time . In todays time many private corporations provide funding for that research. In my opinoin this kind of biomedical stusies should be led by goverment but followed by private companies. this essay will discuss the reasons .
In todays time due to many factors like unhealty food , unhealty lifestyle, globalization and many more factors, even the life span of a humans decline years by years because of many disease. In addition, even in this 21 centuray of techonology and AI still many preventions for few disease are going on as a research projects . Moreover, for the biomedical studies fundings are very important aspects . Many private
companies are funded to that research projects . For instance, recently i read one artical on research for a preventing the diabetes held on early stages and the whole funding was provided by Sun pharma company which is a very huge private company for medicines .
On the other side , many people believe that this kind of funding should driven by governments . I agree with this view , as any thing related to medical research and healthcare in country it should be funded by government. Either this should be done or funding should provided by government but works under private companies . As many research works like this nowadays for instance , I attended one seminar last week as it is related to my work as i am a research student in whole seminar they told us about the same concept how a research projects work how government gives funding and all related to that only .
In Conclusion, I reittrate it any biomedical studies fundings should leds by government and work under private company I think in any thing related to medical and health care research projects there is no funding by individuals are required.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear general preference for government leadership, with private companies carrying out or supporting research, and you include relevant examples: the Sun Pharma diabetes project and your seminar experience. These show an attempt to explain your view. However, the response only partially develops the task. The opening says research should be “led by goverment but followed by private companies,” while the conclusion says it should be “leds by government and work under private company”; the exact division of responsibility remains unclear. The alternative of research funded by individuals is dismissed briefly rather than considered, and the reasons for government leadership are asserted more than explained. Develop two or three specific reasons, such as public accountability or access to results, and connect each example directly to them.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting context and your position, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “In addition,” “Moreover,” and “On the other side” help signal relationships between points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. The first body paragraph moves from disease trends to research funding and then to an example without clearly explaining how each point supports your argument. The second repeats the government-funding position and includes a long, unclear account of the seminar. Some linking phrases are mechanical, and references such as “this kind of funding” and “the same concept” do not always identify a precise idea. Organise each paragraph around one reason, then explain and illustrate it before moving on.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “biomedical studies,” “funding,” “research projects,” “healthcare,” and “life span,” so the reader can identify the subject and your main position. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear. For example, “many new disease occur” and “fundings are very important aspects” do not express the ideas naturally; “preventions for few disease” is also unclear. Spelling errors such as “opinoin,” “stusies,” “goverment,” and “artical” are noticeable throughout. Build accuracy with common academic collocations, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise terms for public oversight, research funding, and private-sector involvement would help you explain your position.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including clauses introduced by “as” and “because,” and you use a basic range of sentence openings. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader work to understand the message. For example, “many new disease occur” has a number-agreement problem, while “this kind of biomedical stusies should be led” has problems with number and sentence construction. In “the whole funding was provided,” the article and phrasing need attention, and the final sentence lacks a clear grammatical structure. Review subject–verb agreement, singular and plural forms, articles, and sentence boundaries. Aim first for accurate short sentences, then combine them using one clear subordinate clause at a time.
