Student answer (Band 4.0)
Medical research projects are hugely fianced by private owned businesses worldwhile. In my opinion these researchs should be conducted more government companies rather then private companies of individuals. It is because government companies research would be easily acessible for general public and also its results will be more acqurid, on the other hand research by private companies can mostly result more towards the companys interest rather then publics and individuals dont have enough sources to get required information for its work.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You state a clear preference for government-led research and give two relevant reasons: results would be more accessible to the public, while private companies may prioritise their own interests. However, the response addresses the task only partially: it does not explain the role, if any, that individuals should have, and neither reason is developed with explanation or a relevant example. The response also does not meet the 250-word minimum, so the argument remains very limited. To strengthen it, explain how public funding could improve access or trust, support this with a specific example, and compare government, private companies and individual researchers before reaching a clear conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The opening presents your position and signals a contrast between government and private research, using “Firstly” and “on the other hand” to connect ideas. This gives the reader a basic sense of direction. However, the response stops after “Firstly,” leaving the promised development unfinished and providing no conclusion or complete paragraph structure. The long opening sentence also combines several points, making their relationships harder to follow. Organise the essay into an introduction, separate body paragraphs for your reasons and a conclusion. Use linking expressions to show the relationship between each claim and its explanation, rather than relying on a single extended sentence.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “medical research projects,” “conducted,” “accessible” and “general public,” and you express the contrast between public benefit and company interests. However, spelling and word-choice errors are frequent enough to weaken clarity: “fianced,” “worldwhile,” “researchs,” “acessible” and “acqurid” are difficult or incorrect forms. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “government companies research” and “result more towards the companys interest.” Build accuracy with common topic collocations such as “government-funded research,” “make findings publicly available” and “serve commercial interests.” Proofread spelling and possessives carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts to connect ideas in a complex sentence, using “because” and “on the other hand,” and the reader can generally identify your main position. However, sentence control is inconsistent. In “these researchs should be conducted more government companies,” the comparison and grammatical structure are incomplete; “research” is generally uncountable, and the sentence needs a construction such as “conducted by government agencies rather than private companies.” The opening also contains unclear clause connections, while “individuals dont have enough sources” needs an apostrophe and a more complete grammatical expression. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with subordinate clauses and contrast structures, checking articles, agreement and punctuation.
