Sweden was second highest in outpouring of carbon dioxide in 1967 and grow slightly at around 10 metric tonnes in 1977 then after it was fall over the period. In 2007, there were Sweden and Portugal were same amount of outflow of carbon dioxide in 2007.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully identified the main trends and provided a clear overview of the data. You covered all four countries and highlighted the key differences in their emission patterns over the 40-year period. However, there are some inaccuracies in your data reporting. For instance, you stated that Sweden and Portugal had the same amount of CO2 emissions in 2007, but the graph shows Sweden at approximately 5 metric tonnes and Portugal at roughly 5.5. Additionally, your description of the UK's decline is slightly imprecise. To improve, ensure you double-check the data points against the graph to maintain accuracy, as this is a critical component of Task 1.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is logically organized into an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In contrast', 'While', and 'Overall' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For example, the phrase 'then after it was fall over the period' is disjointed and lacks proper connective structure. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider range of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that sentences within paragraphs are linked smoothly to improve the overall progression of your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to describe trends, such as 'upward trend', 'steady decline', and 'exhibited a rise'. However, there are several instances of incorrect word choice and awkward collocations, such as 'outpouring of carbon dioxide' and 'peaked up'. The term 'outpouring' is not typically used in this context; 'emissions' or 'levels' would be more appropriate. Furthermore, some phrasing is repetitive. Expanding your repertoire of synonyms for 'increase' and 'decrease' and focusing on accurate collocations will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('in Portugal and Italy saw', 'there were Sweden and Portugal were same'), incorrect verb forms ('it were surge'), and missing articles or prepositions ('at around 10 metric tonnes'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally make the meaning slightly difficult to follow. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that your subjects and verbs agree and that you are using the correct tense for describing historical data.
