Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response provides a summary of the main features, but there are significant inaccuracies in the data reporting. For instance, you mention the UK emissions 'felled' (fell) but then state it started at 11 tons and closed at 6, which is accurate, yet the overall summary is confusing. You also misidentify the countries in the third paragraph, referring to Italy twice instead of comparing different nations. The data points for Sweden (e.g., 'spike at 11tons') are also inconsistent with the visual information provided. While you attempt to cover all countries, the lack of precision in reporting the figures and the confusion between countries prevent a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or misused. Phrases like 'To start with' and 'Moreover' are used, but the logical flow between sentences is frequently disrupted by factual errors and confusing referencing. For example, the transition 'Furthermore, similar pattern can be seen for Italy' is confusing because you are discussing Italy in the previous sentence. The progression of ideas is hindered by these inconsistencies, making the overall argument difficult to follow at times.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

You demonstrate a limited range of vocabulary, and there are several instances of word-choice errors that impede clarity. Examples include 'median' instead of 'average', 'most amount of' instead of 'highest level of', and 'metric tones' instead of 'metric tonnes'. Additionally, there are spelling errors such as 'rouse' (rose) and 'thorough out' (throughout). While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'emissions' and 'stable', the frequent errors in collocation and spelling limit the effectiveness of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('UK... it had felled'), incorrect verb forms ('rouse' instead of 'rose'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the text from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for tense consistency and basic sentence structure.
